I turned and walked through the back door. I was relieved to see that Gage was so happy and excited for this. I mean, I want kids, but I’m afraid that now is not the best time. I can’t get the thought of Alpha Niko finding out and, in some way, using that to his advantage or it giving him more reason to want me dead. My mind was whirling with an overwhelming number of thoughts. I couldn’t seem to shut it off.
