The rays of the morning sunlight sneaked through the gaps on the sides of the curtains in Catalina’s room, gently caressing the floor and then the bed in the room. Catalina slowly stirred herself out of her subconscious. As she started to open her eyes, her mind began to unravel the events of the previous day. She smiled a smile of gratitude as she remembered the trip they had taken the day before. She felt grateful that she visited her mother’s grave and spent some time in her childhood bed.
