Eleanor entered her office with her eyes fixed on a file that was in her hands, not realizing that she wasn’t alone.
“So, what’s going on between you and my brother?”
She jumped in surprise and looked up to find Liam sitting on her chair behind her desk with his feet crossed on top of her desk. She rolled her eyes as she sat down on the couch placed adjacent to the desk.
“What the hell are you doing here? Don’t you have some deadly stones to find?” She asked him flatly, knowing that she wouldn’t be able to deflect from his prior question for long.
“Damien’s is onto something so I found time to come and meet my beloved best friend.” Liam answered with an innocent smile before grinning mischievously at her, “now, onto my question, what’s going on between you and my brother?”
