Eleanor lied still on the ground until the Elarma blade stopped glowing altogether. The lethal magic inside the dagger seeped into Eleanor’s soul as her veins began to burn as if someone had ignited wildfire inside her. And when death finally came, she took her last breath and accepted whatever fate had planned for her. Her body glowed in a faint golden hue before her soul traversed through realms and stopped in one that felt familiar. She felt like she was laid on a bed of petals and feathers and not on the beach where she had died, moments ago. Her senses picked up scents of musk and carnations and not of the burning wood that surrounded her once. She felt a cool breeze soothing her body and not the humid and salty wind from before. She was absolutely surprised at such an experience as she tried to open her eyes, however, before she could, her head felt dizzy and her body, heavy. She laid there and before she could comprehend what was happening, there was an influx of memories in her mind and she could feel her body strengthening with each vision that passed behind her eyelids. She saw it all. Her powers, her family, the angel she had once fallen in love with, the angel who had later died because of her mother. She saw her bond with Adonis and the realization that he had been in love with her all along, she remembered how crumbled she was the day she found out about Marcus cheating on her mother and she then remembered how she hated the day her mother left the angel realm. She saw how she created the supernatural world, she even remembered creating the Ravenas. She now remembered everything. She remembered the reason for Marcus to send her on earth, she now realized her years spent as Daniel and Mary’s daughter had been the best years of her entire immortality. She remembered being sixteen and watching the second person she truly loved, die and she now realized that that moment had triggered some of her memories in her mind but she never found out about them. She felt the familiar tug of her magical powers in her soul just waiting to be unleashed. The magic that could destroy realms in one moment; the magic that had created the entire supernatural realm to co-exist with the mortal one. The magic that was her second nature; she felt complete. She felt like she had been in darkness for years and someone had finally let the light in. “Eleanor Ada Lightbourne.” She heard a familiar voice call as a wide smile graced her lips and she opened her eyes at last. She could see the clear skies of the angel realm above her, she could listen to the mild chirping of birds and the angelic chimes of the bell in the palace. She was home. “Welcome home.” She heard the same voice again as she got up and turned around to find her beloved father standing in front of her with a relieved smile on his face as he opened his arms for her. With an excited squeal, the brunette rushed and wrapped her arms around him, scrunching her eyes close in bliss as she hugged him after twenty-five years of being away from him. He chuckled and stroked her hair as he kissed her temple affectionately. “Oh, Ellie. It has been far too long without you here,” he whispered softly and she nodded, hugging him closer to her. “I missed you so much, father.” She whispered emotionally. Marcus cradled the back of her head and held her protectively as the two stood in an embrace, not realizing how much time passed before they finally stepped back from each other and sat on their usual spot in the garden. “I don’t understand, how did I end up here? The Elarma dagger was created to make me a prisoner in the Demonworld.” She spoke up with her eyes fixed on the swans floating in the lake in front of her; she felt good to have her memories back. Marcus scoffed, “you did not think that I was going to let you suffer at the hands of those demons, did you?” She raised an eyebrow, “they’re your wife and son, by the way. And they’re there because you cheated on her, remember?” She jabbed making him roll his eyes and sigh. “Well, your mother sure knows how to hold a grudge for thousands of years; I guess immortality makes it hard to forgive someone.” He mumbled. “You would have done far worse things if the roles had been reversed, dad. I hate her for all of the things she did to me and how she influenced Alec to leave with her, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t see her side.” Marcus rolled his eyes and sighed in defeat; it was no use arguing with her on this topic. And he did not wish to, it had been too long since he had seen his daughter. “Now, tell me, father, what did you do to make sure that I survived the torment of that wretched blade?” She asked smirking. She knew in her heart that her father had gone to long lengths to ensure her safety. He grinned sheepishly, “I sincerely wish that I could reveal that to you, yet.” He answered and before she could protest against his decision, he raised his hand to stop her. “However, I do wish for you to know that you have a lot of happiness heading your way. Perhaps you would like to investigate about those dreams you used to get before I sent you to the mortal realm.” Her eyes widened instantly. She entirely forgot about them; she hadn’t gotten such dreams whilst she was Eleanor Sparks. Now she remembered them. She remembered how she would always see one man in those dreams but never his face. She had barely been able to look into his eyes but his face was always a blur to her; it had been as if she had been in a daze all along. She furrowed her brows and looked at her father in confusion before she remembered the events which had led her to the angel realm in the first place and she stood up straight. “Forgive me, dad, but I need to leave.” She muttered in a hurry, “my friends are in danger and possibly the mares too.” Marcus smiled and stood up as he hugged her once again and kissed her forehead, “you know what you have to do, right?” She smirked and flashed her golden eyes with a newfound sense of strength in her veins and nodded. “I do.” Marcus nodded and before he could blink his eyes again, she had flown away.
