“What do you mean Marcus refused to help?” Liam’s voice echoed through the silence as Adonis stood in front of him and Damien stood near the window, looking out in the dark with an incomprehensible expression on his face.
“He can’t. It’s against the rules of the universe,” Adonis replied with an underlying tone of anger.
The moment Adonis had returned to the penthouse, he had called Liam and Damien. The two decided that it was better to tell Adonis about their discovery at the police precinct and then proceed from there.
“Well, isn’t her daughter dying against the universe?” Liam chirped.
Adonis rolled his eyes, “it’s up to us now. There’s nothing I found except he did say something about the answer lying in the past and the enemies that he had banished from the Angel Realm.”
