The New York sky grumbled restlessly as the sheath of heavy, dark clouds created a gloom that was impossible to overlook. Lightening danced on the grey and icy horizon as the denizens of the city rushed to get home before the storm. There was an utter silence that was ringing through the winds. The emptiness was colder than the air and there was a deafening sombreness spread all over the city that never slept. And soon, the emptiness was disrupted by a gregarious clap of thunder and before anyone knew, water came pouring down in sheets, kissing the ground, like a mother kisses her firstborn. Damien scowled as he stood in his penthouse, looking over the city through the windows with a mug of coffee in his hands. His posture was tensed but his appearance looked more relaxed than ever. He
