As I walked the grounds again Clarissa laughter hit my gut as she tore down food booths faster then any help I’ve ever seen with zero help. She marched up the midway following lead lines looking for the food joints breaker boxes to unplug the food truck she just finished. In my 23 years of doing this I’ve never seen a female employee do the electrical components of the job, she jumped right in wherever they needed help didn’t complain about it and cicely and Tony had her rolling laughing all the time man that laugh makes me smile.

My dad ran past me and yelled boy didn’t you hear that crash I snapped too and followed my dad down the midway to find some of the green help pinned under fencing. My dads cussing me and everyone around us for the issue. I’m seeking William out knowing this is his lazy ass issues cause he never ever finishes a ride to completion and leaves inexperienced green hands to load fencing. I help dad pull the fence off the two kids at the bottom dad hands them a wad of cash made sure they weren’t seriously hurt and sent them packing.

He turns on his heels at me and goes blake seriously where’s your head at man this is Williams doing we both know it why we’rent you riding his ass like you usually do.

I was Hooking it up man had just gotten out of the truck when you came running past me when I walked away to grab the truck William was here this happened in less then 5 minutes.

I stormed off knowing I was going to beat the hell out of William for this bullshit my dad hasn’t been this angry in a minute and I usually take the brunt of it it makes me so angry and he won’t deal with William himself because he probably choke him to death.

I found willing dicking around the game joints and there’s 10 rides still up I snapped the minute I seen him.

I snatched his shirt grabbed him by the neck and swung. I was done with his s**t.

10 years motherfucker I’ve dealt with your s**t 10 years and your still the laziest useless mother fucker on this crew I swung again and split his lip.

He stood stunned looking at me and started to stutter some response…

No I’m done get your bag and figure a way back to my shop your fired I do not have time to deal with you I got 10 rides still need taken down and green hands with injuries your sooooo done.

I turned to walk away and Clarissa calm eyes made me stop dead in my tracks I lurched at her and yelled

Stop being so dam cute and distracting me I can’t think around you…

Her Doe eyes shimmered with tears of hurt abs she headed in the direction of the rides to start tearing them down.

Kelly came storming at me and Tony that was uncalled for she didn’t do anything to deserve your wrath Blake what’s wrong with you.

I walked away and bee lined for my tilt a whirl to tear it apart I didn’t have the patience for lectures.

30 mins later my joints were done and I turned around to see what other rides needed taken down and seen William pulling apart the swings with my dad and Charlie and got boiled again. Are you f*****g kidding me right now I didn’t have time for this s**t and of course my dad undermines my authority with that mother fucker yet again.

I seen the girls come flying past me Clarissa leading the way as the finished up the last of the rides I’ve never seen the girls move so quickly or efficiently for some reason it dawned on me I was extremely harsh to her earlier in my rage and she didn’t flinch at my outburst at her. I walked to get the trucks to get things loaded up and seen my mom and Tony already had most of the joints lined and loaded up for take off and Clarissa directing the line up for my dad and uncle.

She moved so effectively and the knot in my stomach was back watching her again. I grabbed my rig she walked up to me and said bring the tilt directly behind the shuttle and bumper cars so when we pull out every third vehicles is a semi ok.

She’s a carni kid for sure she walked away from me and swayed her hips ever so slightly the stiffness of my pants and her smile threw me again. I seriously can’t focus around her fuckkkk me.

Pulling into the shop later that morning I didn’t see Clarissa jump out of any vehicles as a passenger abs walked around doing my unhooking to go grab the last couple loads when I see her jump out of the food trailer Dooley and unhook it chuck it and head to the truck line up to return for another load. I walked over to my dads truck and asked soooo new help gets to drive loads first week out.

My dad looks me in the face and said when she’s been doing this since birth hell yea and she’s quick and saved us more time and money over anything else with her line up plan. We have 4 things left to get because of the amount of drivers we have Blake seriously watch her work dude she’s quick that’s them Florida girls.

My dads annoying smirk as I walked away to put the truck in line up for the next trip. Clarissa walked up to my dad and asked who all needed to go for next trip and he responded with Blake me abs you we can double up on swings and trooper she definitely felt useful at that moment.

I decided to take that moment to apologize for my behavior earlier today

Hey new girl I’m sorry about earlier

She rolled back on her heels and stared at me with those purple eyes and looked down

That’s ok I was in the wrong spot at the wrong time

It still doesn’t excuse me snapping at you

She started to walk away to the truck and I grabbed her wrist and stared at her

Why are you so dam cute in my calmest voice I had I really can’t think straight around you

She stared into my soul me either she responded with the softest face and voice I’ve heard from her yet it was lust stricken and sultry.

My pants tightened again and my dad blasted the horn

I let go of her wrist and jumped in my rig and followed him back to thunder field and my mind wondered to her face and voice and all I could do was feel everything I’ve ever wanted to feel for another person.
