Upon ending of the week I had come to terms not to pop out I love you to Clarissa I want this to work for us and expressing my feelings and love for her through acts of kindness respect and friendship.

Last night of this spot and I was doing general pre close routines and Clarissa and Tony were doing the same thing with granny and mellow was with me doing our check list. That’s when it hit me that I have strong women on my team and they hold there own on this crew some if not all of them work the men under the table on our crew. Feeling very blessed and happy and grateful for my life for the first time since my anxiety began.

The night went as predictable as any other tear down night green hands galore I used only previous ones since this was a normal yearly spot and most didn’t need to be told what to do but told where to go.

I helped do everything and pulled lead lines and I heard a blood curdling scream and bang from the food trailers my heart sank and I bolted towards the sounds. I watched as Tony stood over granny and Clarissa as she performed cpr on her friend. Tony was on the phone calling 911 and Clarissa continued pumping granny’s chest and blowing into her mouth.

Ems and police arrived in less then 5 minutes and granny was breathing on her own and was coming too. I walked up to the situation prior to them arriving Tony hanging up the phone

What the hell happened

Granny had a heart attack or something cause she screamed grabbed her chest collapsed to the ground Clarissa jumped off the ladder from the top of the food trailer and immediately started cpr

I was shaking so hard is Clarissa hurt she jumped 30 feet to the ground to take care of her friend

Clarissa baby are you ok

I’m fine I was scared she wasn’t breathing I had to do cpr I had to, her tears came down so hard and fast

I noticed when I stood up holding my girl tight the ems and police had arrive and two of my food trailer window were busted from the ladder that was going to be fun to explain.

We finished tearing down and granny was heading to local hospital Clarissa stayed behind and finished working even though she was beyond worried about granny she worked faster than she needed to to try to get to the hospital.

Clarissa charged off when everything was settled down and showered quickly I was half a step behind her basically running to the hospital before slowing her down.

Baby we will get to the hospital but let me shower and I will take you up there your so hard focused your going to get hurt.

she spun on her heels and tears streamed down her cheeks and it hit me like a gut punch seeing her so beyond stressed and upset.

You don't understand Blake she was my mothers best friend my granny my confidant I have to make sure she's ok she was with me every single moment after my mothers passing if not up to the moment she showed me the most genuine love I could have.

I do sweetheart I understand but let me take you so you dont have to panic drive ok.

she huffed stompped her foot and sat down, I eased her into my house so I could shower, her tears continued to stream her cheeks when I got into my shower I heard her on the phone calling the hospital and listened as intently as I could of her end of the conversation.

Clarissa "Hello I'm Clarissa my coworker and grandmother was brought in about 45 minutes ago and I want to check on her her names Gene Monsello"

"No ma'am she hasn't had any prior medical issues she's been working outdoors for 25 plus years I've never seen her go to a doctor or hospital for that matter"

"Yes ma'am wait are you sure ok Ill be there in roughly 30 minutes, yes ma'am"

I toweled dried myself and dressed in my casuals and walked out of my bathroom bathed, "you ready baby lets go check on granny"

Her tears flowed again " She passed on the way to the hospital Blake they tried resuscitating her they asked we come get her belonging they'll take care of her body if I make it soon"

My heart sank this beautiful souls entire world crashed again and she was going to have a time recovering from this.
