Mason’s POV
Kyla’s slender figure came in sight. She had a surprised look on her face but worry overtook it when she saw mine.
“Are you expecting someone else Mason?” She asked.
“No” I replied shortly.
“Are you okay. What’s wrong?” She sat beside me on the bed and her hand gently caressed my back. I’m not in love with this woman but she has a strong control over me. My anger reduced a bit as she kept applying little pressure on my back.
“What’s wrong?” She asked again in a more gentle tone. I didn’t know about Alivia’s disappearance or I haven’t told her yet but trusting Kyla, she knows about it already. I suddenly looked at her with a suspicious look.
“The elders are really giving me tough times. Can you believe they threatened to put Claude in my place” I narrate
