“Wait, what?” Ava asked, mouth agape. Kyla had just told her about the woman who was supposedly Landon's mate. True, their relationship ended on good terms as she was in love with him but he told her not to depend on him because he was sick. He wasn't her mate but he was kind. He understood her. He cared for her but he never loved her.
“It's exactly the way I told you, Ava.” Kyla said in hopes to instigate Ava for her evil deeds. She needed Ava to do the dirty work on her behalf. She wasn't ready to convince Alivia to marry Mason for her own selfish interest but it didn't matter. She was going to get what she wanted anyway.
