Mason was livid. He had been livid since the beginning of the week. On Monday, his brother abandoned his ‘alpha duties’ to him and he's been working tirelessly. He had to -on Landon's behalf- sign some documents and attend meetings. He even travelled out of the pack for the annual Alpha's conference, with Kyla, as his personal assistant.
“You are getting recognized as alpha” Kyla praised him which infuriated him. He wasn't going to the conference as alpha, he was going as a representative of the alpha, his brother who was going to spend quality time with the woman who is his mate.
“Yeah. Sure.” He responded, absentmindedly.
When Mason arrived at the Brick Rock pack house, he was welcomed by Satchel, the alpha of the pack.
