Landon's POV
I returned home, my mood as heavy as a storm cloud. Ava, noticing my somber expression, asked with concern, "What's wrong, Landon?" I hesitated, then shared Satchel's ominous warning: "He said there's a danger coming, and he thinks Alivia might be in danger.”
“What? Why?......why would he think that”, gasps Ava
"He didn't say for sure, but... I think it's because of who she is”, I reply as I tiredly rub my face. It seems tiring to think about my mate in danger, but it also makes me angry knowing someone is out there to hurt my mate.
Although the truth is I know that an asshole like Satchel wouldn't talk carelessly about my mate, so it means there foul play but what is annoying is the fact that I can't figure it out and I can't be by my mate's side to protect
