Elara, the wise she-wolf, knew exactly what to feel. She surrendered to the connection, as her wolf demanded. Knowing that running was futile, she understood he would find her, especially being who he is—the Alpha Lycan!
As the night progressed, Alden and Elara were mating. Even after the connection was established, desire continued to grow. The Alpha's wolf wanted more and more; his mouth salivated to devour his mate.
When dawn broke, Elara awoke and, looking beside her, saw her Alpha. Resting in his arms, embracing him, she felt fragile. How did this happen? Now it was too late; she had become the Alpha's Luna. She got up, descended to the basement, changed into another dress, this time a blue cotton one. She combed her disheveled hair from the night before, looked in the mirror, her heart racing upon seeing the mark of her mate's bite.
"No matter how much I ran, he found me!" she whispered...
Elara heard footsteps behind her; when she turned, it was her Alpha Alden. His eyes were normal, but he looked at her with a strange expression.
"You, why did it have to be you?" the Alpha asked in a furious tone...
"Alpha, I didn't want any of this. If you didn't notice, I ran from you and hid wherever I could, but somehow you found me!" Elara didn't lower her head to her Alpha this time, staring into his eyes without any fear.
This caused Alden to leave the basement. Elara followed him; he was getting dressed. Troubled by everything, she just wanted to get away. She opened the cabin door to run, but what she saw made her heart race!
"Alpha Alden?" Elara called him in whispers. He followed her voice, put on his shirt, and went outside. When he stepped out, his whole pack was on their knees.
"Our Luna, our Alpha!" the wolves all spoke together; the forest was filled with werewolves, all with bowed heads and kneeling.
"Rise!" the Alpha ordered.
Everyone stood up and watched their new Luna. The laws of their own instincts were unique; they couldn't go against their Luna and Alpha.
"I'm going home!" Elara said, running off, but the Alpha grabbed her arm!
"Your home is now by my side, did you forget?" The Alpha said with a sinister tone!
They heard steps approaching; Elara and Alden looked ahead. They saw Ravenna coming; she was Alden's secretary but also his lover for three years.
Ravenna's eyes were teary; she approached and knelt in front of her Alpha.
"Alpha, my love, what will become of me now? You promised me the world; you promised I would be your Luna this year, and now this? What am I going to do, my Alpha?" Ravenna spoke in tears...
The pack members started to whisper; all the betas around the alpha knew about the romance; they already considered Ravenna their Luna, and now it was over!
Ravenna and Alden had fallen in love, might even consider each other, but nothing shook the bond of an Alpha with a predestined Luna!
"I have no patience for this; excuse me, Alpha, and solve your personal problems before seeking me again!" Elara said, freeing herself from her Alpha and running into the forest!
The alpha didn't know what to do because even with the bond with his Luna, he still cared for Ravenna and understood her pain.
But she also knew that Ravenna couldn't have spoken like that in front of her Luna; it's a lack of respect!
Alden saw his Luna disappear into the forest; his heart squeezed, and his wolf howled in anger at Alden's actions!
"You're humiliating our Luna; don't dare to go against her!" Alden's wolf threatened internally in a menacing voice!
Alden didn't respond to his wolf; instead, he lifted Ravenna with his hands, placed his hand on her waist, and ran with her. Alden took her to his mansion, where it was also his home, and Ravenna had been living with him for six months!
When Alden arrived at the mansion, his mother and sister were waiting for him. As soon as he entered, they observed his neck.
"So it's true; you found a predestined Luna!" his mother said surprised!
"Mother, not now, Ravenna, go to your room, then we'll talk!" Alden said, looking at his sister with confused eyes!
"Come, Ravenna, I'll help you." Fen took Ravenna's hand and went upstairs with her.
Alden went to his office, and his mother followed him.
"Alden, you need to get her out of here. Forgot that now you have a real Luna, and speaking of her, who is she? What's her name? Where is she?" Solin looked at her son, noticing he was lost in his thoughts and feelings.
"Mother, I was going to make Ravenna my Luna; I was sure it was her. We complete each other, love each other, but yesterday I felt something impulsive, something so strong that I couldn't control my own body. My wolf took over after the event; he went hunting. Elara is my predestined mate, but I don't want her!" Alden spoke each word with difficulty, struggling within himself...
"Son, it's over. Your Luna is your half, your soul outside the body, and your wolf is part of her now. I can see the mark on your neck. If you didn't want her, why did you mark her? Why did you connect with her?"
Alden looked at his mother, and his eyes filled with tears!
"Because I am the Alpha, and above what I want, there is what is right! And my wolf wouldn't let her escape either!" He was sincere.
"Alden, Ravenna can't stay. She's your lover, but now that you've connected with your mate, you can't sleep and be with her anymore. That would be a betrayal to Mother Moon!" Alden lost control and started screaming in anger; his office turned into a mess in no time.
Solin left her son alone and went to see Ravenna. When she reached the girl's room, she found her crying on her bed.
"Oh, dear, don't be like this. Life isn't easy, and sometimes our future is different from what Mother Moon chose. So, for your own good and to ensure my son continues on the path of being a good Alpha, you need to leave here. You need to leave the city and start your life somewhere else. I have friends in other packs; I know they would welcome you warmly. Who knows, maybe your predestined one is in another pack!"
