Chapter 06: Leave

1238 Words
I headed straight to Elias and Sebastian's house after mom and Parker went inside our own. I even had to make sure that Parker wouldn't follow me. I know that kid, if he gets curious, he will not stop until he finds the answer to his questions. Arriving, I immediately knocked three times on their door. It opened after a few seconds. I was expecting it to be Elias, but to my surprise, it was Sebastian. “What are you doing here?” He asked me immediately, looking behind me. “You, what were you doing again in my room last night?” I asked instead. “I told you it is not the right time yet,” he said. I rolled my eyes. “And I also told you that I don’t care whatever schedule you’re following because I swear, if you don't tell me now, I will call the cops on you,” I threatened him but hell, this guy just arched his brow on me. “You should go home now, Olivia. It’s about to rain again,” he said instead, looking up at the sky. I did, too, and he’s right. The sky is starting to be covered by thick and black clouds. But I will not leave, not until I have answers, because I have enough of him coming in and out of my room for no reason. “No. I will not leave until I have the answer to my question,” I told him. “Olivia…” He called out, but I immediately raised my hand to stop him. “You will tell me now or I will–” my words were cut mid-sentence when someone inside their house called his name. A woman appeared and immediately clung her hands around Sebastian's arm. “You have a visitor?” she asked, looking at me from head to toe, and toe to head. “No. She’s just passing by,” Sebastian said coldly. I arched my brows. Passing by, huh? “Is that so? Why don’t you invite her inside, babe?” Babe? Ah, his girlfriend “She’s just passing by, Amelia,” he repeated, and I immediately understood what he meant. He wanted me to leave. I sighed and smiled. “He’s right, I’m just passing by. And I’m actually leaving now.” I looked straight into Sebastian's eyes. “Thanks for your time,” I said, matching how cold his voice was, and turned my back. I went back home and headed straight to my room. My chest is heavy for an unknown reason. “Won’t you sleep yet?” Parker asked. I was in our living room, binge watching a series on Netflix. I shook my head. “I will finish this first,” I said. “It’s almost midnight, Liv, can't you continue watching that tomorrow?” “I'm still not sleepy,” I just said. “Is there something wrong?” he asked and sat beside me. “You’ve been sulking since we came back from meeting your friend.” “I’m not sulking, Parker. I just really want to finish this series before I move out to college,” I said. I still have two weeks before school starts. “Right. So, So, how was your meeting with your friend?” I turned to him and squinted my eyes. “Why do you want to know?” “I’m just asking, Liv, chill. I’m just… I’m just surprised that you already have a friend here when I never saw you go out.” “How can you see me when you are always in Elia’s house?” I asked. Parker shrugged. “Well, still, this is news to me. I didn’t expect you to meet other people and be friends with them.” I rolled my eyes again. “I can make friends if I want to, Parker.” "I hope you will want to make a lot of friends," he said, smirking at me. I shook my head and nudged him. "I'm good with a small circle and a few people." "How many is that few?'" He teased me. "You know what? I think you should be in bed by now." Parker laughed and said, "I'm not a kid anymore for bedtime, Liv. I'm past that age." "Well, for me you're still a baby, so go up to your room now and leave me alone," I told him. Chuckling while shaking his head, Parker stood and started walking to our stairs. "Liv, you know you can always tell me anything, right?" I turned to look at him, grinning. "Yeah. I know." He shrugged and said, "Good. Just tell me when you're ready." I nodded. "When I'm ready," I confirmed. He went upstairs after that, while I stayed in our living room. Even when I heard my room’s window sliding open, I stayed still. “Why are you not sleeping yet,” I heard Sebastian speaking behind me. “And you are trespassing again,” I said, not even trying to turn to see him. I suddenly felt tired dealing with him. "You should be sleeping by now, Olivia," he said in a serious and authoritative voice. I scoffed. Who did he think he was to tell me what to do? "I don't know why you think you have the right to decide for me, when, in the first place, we are nothing but strangers to each other," I told him, my eyes still not leaving the television. "Strangers, huh?" I heard him snort and walk in front of me, grab the remote control and turn the TV off. I rolled my eyes and glared at him. "You know what? I don't have the energy to argue with you–to even have this conversation with you, so, please just leave." "Go to sleep and I will leave," he still insisted. I don't freaking know why he's so obsessed with making me sleep. Why does it concern him so much if I stay so late or if I don't sleep. "I said leave, Sebastian," I repeated, glaring even sharply at him. "I repeat, I will leave if you go to sleep–" "Why do you think I will follow you?" I cut him off. Sebastian breathed deeply and said, "Please, do not push my buttons, Olivia." I smirked from what he said. "You should be the one not pushing my buttons, Sebastian. I have been so understanding and patient with you because you are my brother's friend. But I realized that it shouldn't be like that," I told him fiercely. "You're a creep that keeps on breaking into my room for God knows reason, and I am done with your bullshit, so if you still want to be friends with my brother, get your ass out of my house, my room, and never come back." I am mad–furious even. I don't know exactly why, but our encounter earlier made me this furious. He took a step closer to me and tried to reach for my hand, but before he could touch me, I already pulled away. "Don't you dare touch me," I told him. "I don't want to see you again, Sebastian." "Olivia…" "I repeat, leave, Sebastian. And please do not show up in my face ever again," I said. I stood and walked to our front door and opened. "Leave."
