It was the most restful sleep Daemon had gotten in a long time. A deep slumber, that while short, allowed him pleasant dreams. Most days, it was the ringing clang of his alarm clock or telephone that woke him. Reminded him that it was just another day in his life. But on that morning, it was the gentle warmth of the sun that peaked through his blinds that had Daemon’s eyes slowly peel open. His body was stiff and sore in the best of ways.
