CHAPTER 1

It’s been 10 years and the house felt empty without her, the man who was sitting on the couch roam his eyes in every corner of the house.

"What a shitty life.”

He stood up and wear his coat when someone knock on the door making him frowned.

The person outside keeps banging the door because he didn’t open it immediately‚ irritation filleds towards his handsome face.

As he open the door‚ the guy on the other side smile widely and handed him something.

“What’s this?” He asked without looking to the man who’s standing in front of his door.

"Don’t you want me to come in?”

"f**k off,” he mumbled.

He just slam the door and walk towards his room.

He’s in the middle of reading the files when his phone rang‚ he took his phone and answer the call.

Silent filled the room, and before he could say a word someone talk on the other line.

"I already send you the files‚ make sure to read them thoroughly. We will give you the next order after one week,” the voice on the other line was full of authority, but he remain silent.

“Your team is already assign and they will be under your command.”

"Alright.”

He hung up and throw his phone on the bed.

"I need to go to school‚ I have to file a 3 months leave,” he said while staring at the files in fron of him.

Phai was lost in thought’s when her friend Nex snap her fingers and rolled her eyes while staring at her, Nex sighed in disbelief seeing her one and only friend dazzing like this; it seems like her friend Phai was in her own world, again. It always like this, she would think that her friend was like a robot, working her ass off, going home to rest, wake up in the morning and going to work again. But what can she do? she's just a good friend who can just lend her money when her wallet is empty.

“Hey! My friend," she snapped on her beloved friend.

“hmm?” Phai respond without looking at her direction.

She sighed again and stand up, she need to go to go back to work. break time is already over, her boss will scold at her if he saw her sitting on the counter without doing anything. That man was like a CCTV he knows everything, she just shrugged her head and roll her eyes.

Phai suddenly get up in front of the counter when a costumer tap the bell, she wrote the order and gave it to Nex.

She's the cashier s***h counter girl, her best friend Nex was the one who always takes the order she smiled in relief, without her best friend life is a walking s**t. But Nex always help her everytime, she's a realable and her most trusted friend this café was owned by Nex sister that's why she offered her the job because she really need it.

"Here's your order Ma'am, two Caramel mocha and one frape without wipped cream," she said sweetly giving their costumer her best seller smile.

The costumer nood and leave without saying thank you ‘Rude’ her mind snorted in discontentment. She just shut her eyes for a second and force herself to calm down, damn it!

"Are you okay?” Her co-worker asked.

She just give him a smile and go back to work.

He was giving orders to his subordinates when a gun fire filled the whole area, they immediately settled in their designated places and take their guns, he was holding his panzerfaust 3-IT600, his cousin shouted making his ear twitch and throw him a death glare.

“Hey you fuckers, die!” He shouted and pulled the trigger.

And in a blink of an eye an explosion filled the whole forest where their enemies was hiding, a victory smirk form on his lips he was cussing them to death and yeah they're all gone to ashes.

But he can't be complacent there's still tons of them around the area they need to subjugate those fuckers.

“You evil, how can you use that monster gun of yours huh! you want us to die with them,” his cousin hissed, he just look at him expressionless.

“You're alive right? just bring me the C4 that I requested earlier we need to burn those flies,” he ordered.

He immediately got on his ATV and scan the whole area, he needs to spy on his enemy and know their weakness. He start the engine and maneuver his ATV around the forest.

“Gotcha."

He silently turn off the engine of his ATV and hide it under the tree, no one would see it since it was a camouflage color it matches the tree's and grass around the forest.

He took his British L115A3 inside his ATV compartment, he grimaced when he realized that there's only ten of his enemy who were raiding their camp.

"Damn it."

But before he could react a loud explosion filled his ear that makes him stood up and ride his ATV, he need to get away from his enemies camp immediately, or else his whole being will be burn and explode to pieces.

"Those idiots!" He hissed with annoyance.

Damn you Caelum Mordfelt! I'll rip you to pieces when we got home.

A group of men was shouting crazily while riding their vehicles, some of them was holding a panzerfaust while the others was throwing a C4 towards their enemies area, he just sighed on the scene and massage his temple.

Crazy bastards! They didn't even listen to his command's, again. Will. they're not his subordinates if there's no craziness inside their veins and brains.

It was a long and tiring mission for them however it was also an insane and successful mission for his team, he looked at his subordinates; they're all busy drinking their ass off while some of them were snoring because they can't even hold their liquors, he lightly shake his head in while grinning.

They deserve this small celebration after finishing their mission, they all know how difficult their mission was but they didn't give a f**k, entering this kind of work is just nothing to them— If they don’t fight to death, what will happened to their families.

But that’s not the case for him because he don’t have a family to return to, just a memory of someone inside his house, he grab the shot glass and drink it.

Someone tap his shoulders and he just glared to the man who waa standing in front of him, it was his cousin who was crazily shouting his lung out while throwing those C4 that he requested, this mother fucker! he cussed inside his head.

“You're as grumpy as always cous, try to smile a little it will heal the world."

He just glared at his cousin who's already busy mixing the drinks.

After hours of drinking with his subordinates he hurriedly went to his tent and slam his body on the thin comforter that he was sleeping for almost three months, it's already three month's since they started their mission and it was successful after this he need to report to the higher up's and file a one month vacation. Damn those flies! He need a rest and prepare for their return.

He woke up to the sound outside his tent‚ he put his shirt on and went outside only to find out that some of his subordinates were injured.

"What the f**k happened here?” He immediately asked.

“Boss‚ we didn’t expected that they have a back up some of our men who went on a look out died because of an ambushed.”

He just brush his hair in frustration.

“Prepare to seize, we don’t have time.”

They all nodded and went on their tent to prepare their things.

After a long and tiring battle, they already cleared the whole area.

But he keeps on blaming himself because of his negligence, if he didn’t stop scanning the area no one will die on his team, it frustrate him knowing some of his men died.

“Damn it!”

Phaidra was cooking for dinner when he heard her phone rang, he immediately got up and take the call.

"Hello."

"Hey, Miss Phaidra Archien right?” A baritone voice speak on the other line.

“Yes, it's me. Who's this?”

"Ready your things, mist. We have a mission for you, we will email you the informations. Goodluck.” He then ended the call that was left her in daze.

Shit! A mission after 5 years of being awol. What was his boss thinking? Confusion was written on her pretty face.

It was 12 in the afternoon and Phaidra was busy writing the orders of their costumers, some of their sweets were already sold out, her co-workers keeps on praising her skills on sales talking their costumers, will it's just a piece of cake to her because she already perfected the art of sales talk.

Nex went on the counter where phaidra assigned, she put the cold frape on her cheeks making her startled but phaidra immediately smiled and took the frape in her hand, they both look outside the door of the cafe when a gorgeous man entered and walk towards the counter making them look away while pretending to sip their frape.

“Hello, two Americano and one coffee cake," he said while staring on the menu.

She immediately write his order and was about to give the paper on Nex, she froze for a second but Phaidra cut her and pinched her waist making her move like someone's hypnosis her, phaidra just chuckled on her bestfriend's behavior.

After a minute they give his order but he just stared at the both them.

“Did we met before?" The gorgeous man asked her.

She just raised her eyebrow look at the man in front of them.

“ahm.. I think no?" she replied.

He just nod and took his change, after that he left the cafe leaving the two woman confused.
