chapter six

Leon stepped out of the evening chill and into the modern high-rise building that housed his lab. He swiped his ID card and the glass doors slid open, revealing a sleek lobby. Leon made his way to the elevator, which whisked him down to the underground lab.

As the doors opened, Leon was greeted by the faint scent of disinfectant and the soft hum of machinery. The lab was a single, expansive room, with gleaming white surfaces and futuristic equipment. Dominating the center of the room was a massive, cylindrical mixer for blending chemicals. Its stainless steel surface seemed to glow in the fluorescent lighting.

Despite the lab's sterile beauty, Leon couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. The air was thick with an almost strong sense of anticipation, and the mixer seemed to loom over him like a guardian. Leon's eyes narrowed as he began to survey the room, his mind already racing with the experiments he had planned for the night.

"John,john!"Leon called

"sir"john answered running into the lab as if he was being chased by a wild dog.

"Come here"leon said to him with a cold look

"Yes sir"john said getting closer to his master with a scared look.

"Why do I feel that something is off?"

"I don't know sir"

"Hmmmmm yes!where are the kids?"

"What kids sir?"

"The students john,where are they?"

"I told them to come after school"

"Hmm any new students in the class?"

"Not that I know of,I will check sir"

"Okay check"

Meanwhile, at Whitney High School, the bell rang, signaling the start of lunch. Rose and Zoey were preparing to head out when Principal Linda walked into the classroom.

"Hello, class," Principal Linda said, her smile warm and inviting.

"Hello, Principal Linda," the students replied in unison.

Rose and Zoey exchanged a curious glance. What was Principal Linda doing here?

"I know it's been a tough time since Madaline's passing," Principal Linda continued, "but I want to assure you that we're doing everything we can to ensure your safety."

The students nodded, still looking somber.

"Okay I'll be quick so you can go out for lunch"

"Okay ma"

"Well i know that the death of madaliene made us a little sad but I want to assure you that none of that is going to happen again,I'll make sure we all get home safely okay?"

"Okay ma"

CAFETERIA

Rose and Zoey settled into a quiet corner of the cafeteria, the soft hum of conversation and the clinking of dishes providing a soothing background noise.

"Hey zoey are you alright?"

"I'm alright why wouldn't I be"

"Okay I'm just worried about what you saw at that place the other day"rose said with a concerned look.

"Well as you can see I'm alright but I still feel a little weird seeing our principal there"zoey said with a worried look

"Well i trust principal Linda,she wouldn't do anything to hurt anybody"

"I doubt that,I'm still not convinced though but I'll just let it slide and behave as if nothing happened"

"Wow my little girl has grown up"

"What's that suppose to mean,and you should know,I'm still going to keep an eye on her"

"Okay ma anything for you"

PRINCIPAL LINDA'S RESIDENCE

"OoooooOoooOO"

"Who's t..h.e.r.e?"p.linda said in a shaky voice,she was sleeping in her bed a moment ago and then she's here in a dark forest.

"Linda you need to find The Nexa unless you will die"

"I don't understand who are you?,and what is the Nexa and why will I die?"p.linda said in a confused tone.

"Hahahahaha so you think using those pest life force is going to make you imortal,hahaha you better find The Nexa that's the only thing that can make you immortal Linda the only thing......"the voice disappeared and p.linda woke up and realized that it was a dream.

Having this kind of terrible dream was a surprise to p.linda,she stood up and went to her cupboard,she took an old book from it and went to sit on the chair close to the bed.

The book was a very old and ancient book,she opened the book and started looking for any mystic object known as The Nexa.

She searched the book the whole night but later found out about THE NEXA.

She read the book and was shocked that she was finding about a powerful object like that.

"THE NEXA is a powerful object that can make a person live for eternity,it can make you immortal,and indestructible"p.linda read aloud.

After reading about the mystic object,p.linda was worried because after living for a thousand years she believes that she could live for another or even for eternity as long as she continues consuming the life force of others.

P.linda decided to find out the location of the mystic object first before going out to take it by herself.

THE NEXT DAY AT WHITNEY HIGH

Rose and zoey were just about to go to the library to find out about the history of the school when the principal suddenly called for a meeting at the school hall.

THE SCHOOL HALL

"Hello students"p.linda said to the students.

"Hello p.linda"the students chorused.

"I know that calling an assembly was a little sudden because you were supposed to be busy with one thing on the other so I apologize,and I'm here with good news,as you all know it's been years since we went on excursion so we are going to the museum next week"

The students were all happy when the principal talked about an excursion but when they heard about museum they were disappointed,but still happy to leave school.

SOME MINUTES AGO

P.LINDA'S OFFICE

After looking at different museums,p.Linda finally found the mystic object which was in a hidden and old museum.she decided to take the class on an excursion.

"Finally i get to be an immortal being hahaha haha"she laughed happily
