chapter eight

After taking a final look at the whispering gallery,the students were led to the mirrored maze.

"OK students I'll leave you here,you can all play here and it will be a fun game too,but be careful,cause the ECHOES OF THE PAST lies somewhere here__ OK bye"Donald said rushing out of the place.

Seeing that the museum attendant has gone p.linda thought of a way to get away from the students so she can look for the mystic object.

"OK students you all can go in to the maze I'll be waiting here and also there is a reward for the person who comes at first_good luck"the principal said looking at the students as they made their way to the mirrored maze.

After making sure that they had all entered the maze the principal came out from the mirrored maze and started looking for possible place she might find the mystic object.Meanwhile in the mirrored maze zoey and rose were roaming round the maze looking confused.

"Hey rose I don't know but it seems like we've been going through circles"zoey said looking frustrated.

"Well zoey maybe that is how the maze works everything looks the same,let's just try taking another turn okay?"rose asked looking at zoey.

"Whatever"zoey replied

Zoey and rose started roaming again and still they could not find the exit,they decided to rest for a while.

"Let's just rest here first"rose said

"Well i am also tired,I wonder if the rest of the students are also stuck like us"zoey said

After a few minutes rose stood up and as she tried to move she almost fell down if not for zoey who quickly held her hand making the two of them hit their backs on the maze wall which opened and took them to the other side.

Meanwhile principal Linda came out from the mirrored maze and walked towards the corridor looking for the door that leads to where she can find the mystic object.After walking for a while she found an old door that was made of thick, worn wood with big iron hinges. It had strange carvings of snakes and symbols. The keyhole was shaped like a skull, which made it look mysterious and a bit spooky.

*this must be it*she said to her self smiling.

As she turned the key and pushed open the creaky door, she expected to see ancient artifact.Instead, she saw a room filled with teddy bears and candy. It was a strange and childish sight in the old museum.

She sighed to herself but as she turned to leave, the door creaked shut behind her, and she heard the sound of locks clicking into place. A recorded voice announced, 'Welcome to the interactive exhibit! Please follow the prompts to proceed.' Suddenly, the teddy bears lit up, and screens flickered to life around the room.

Rose and zoey were very scared when they found theirself in a very old corridor,the corridor looks deserted and smells like hell.

"Rose i think we are dead,and on our way to hell"zoey said shaking fearfully.

"Zoey,I don't think the road to hell will be this messy,I think we are still inside the museum and......oh yes 'the echoes of the past',I think that is where we are.remember the attendant telling us about it?"rose asked looking at zoey with a faint smile.

"Well ...I guess that explains it all,but what do you think we are going to find here?"

"I don't know zoey let's just keep walking".

After walking for a while,they found a door,a plain door with no handle.

"Ahh what's this supposed to mean"Zoey said in frustration

"Maybe we are supposed to find a way to open the door...there must be a way"rose said checking the door for any hidden knob.

After checking for a while,they decided to look for another place for them to rest.

"Hey rose let's head back, maybe we are going to see the other students"

Wait let me just rest for a little while, I'm quite tired"

"Ok you rest here,I want to look around". "No prob,be careful "

When Zoey was out of sight , rose stood up to check the door again,she tried looking for any opening in the door but she found none,she decided to push the door, but still it didn't bulge,After all the effort she rested her back on the wall close to the door and she felt something,.

A wall that's supposed to be smooth was rock hard,it was as if they put rock before tiling the wall,she quickly turned to feel the wall, that's when she found a switch....she turned it and the door opened....she sighed..

*Finally the door decided to open*

She went inside the room and she was shocked because they were a lot of artifact that looks very precious,she was amazed because she has not seen anything like this before.she walked around the room when a particular object caught her eyes.......it was a small box with ancient writings on it,she moved close to the box trying to see what was written on it but as she moved closer, she felt something strange in her body it was As if her spirit was connecting with the little box.

"Nin me sarra...Ankh pe pneuma...."Rose read the reading out loud not know what it meant but after reading it the smoke that was coming out of the little box started circling her and she tried touching the box but she ended up cutting herself and her blood dropped on the box causing something like an explosion, she fell on the ground and looked at the object,she was terrified because the ones glowing object was now faded, writings gone...................
