The first night, Kita doesn't try to sneak out.
He doesn't want to push his luck so soon, especially since Alexis is growing suspicious of him. So, despite his ever growing hunger,
Kita stays put the first night. He also stays in the second night, and the third. The fourth night with Alexis is when Kita decides to attempt to sneak out for the first time since he moved into Alexis' room.
Kita's careful about it, too. It takes him at least thirty minutes to get a foot on the floor, because he'd been moving so slowly. He's in the process of sliding out of bed, beginning to move his other foot to the floor, when Alexis speaks.
