'Dad, please,"

Hephizbah’s POV "The scar made you look like a wrinkled old lady, and nothing could make you beautiful," Rita said, her voice harsh and mean. "Then the stretch marks are very disgusting and irritating," Kate continued. I clutched my hands to cover the stretch marks on my boobs region. Again, Kate is harrasing me, and Newton watched us very closely. "You can't pull up the innocent act forever, Kate," I said boldly. "Very soon, the school will find out the kind of person you are—a narcissistic bully and also an impersonator you are." "Those stretch marks are beautifully mapped for rare ladies like us. I'm sure that most boys love to see those waves in their woman’s body," I responded, my voice loud. The boys around us nodded with a smile. "Yeah, she's right. I love to see those stretch marks on my girl’s butt and boobs," one of the hockey boys said, showcasing his girl's butt. "It looks like waves," others echoed. I can't keep letting her bully me—also impersonating my identity online. I need to stand up for myself. "Oh, I'm so scared," she laughed, holding her chest. "That nobody will ever believe your words that I'm a impersonator. Because you're a pathetic loser since high school," she whispered slowly, looking at everyone in the poolside. "I can bet you Newton and everyone will very soon," I responded, removed my hands from my body, not afraid or ashamed of my body. I walked past her, but she held my left hand. "Hephzibah, you have gotten some nerves to reply back at me," she said angrily. "You're so crazy, Kate." I dragged my hand from hers. "Psycho," I said again. Her face was red. "You're the crazy one," she responded back. "Have you forgotten what you did to me back then in high school?" I paused for a while, trying to remember incidents, but none was coming through. "You tried to cut me with glass back then after the cheerleading practical," she said. Those memories flashed into my mind—but Kate was the one who pulled the glass to cut herself after I was selected as the new leader for the cheerleading group, but that led to my suspension in high school, making me step down from class. "Liar," I said angrily. "Your malicious game won't work on me again.TThe school management and Newton doesn't trust you anymore," I muttered. "Don't be too sure about it," she laughed. "He thinks that you're a pathetic, lying, manipulative sister he ever had," she growled. I remained silent, hurt by her words. "He can never believe you, though he's been brainwashed by your words. But mind you, he knows me better than whatever lies you're fabricating." I tried to remove my hands from hers. "We shall see to that," she growled, dragging my hands to the poolside. "Come here with me," She knew that I have phobia for pool water because of the experience I had when I was a little child—almost drowned by my own father after an argument with my mum over child ownership. "Let me go," I pulled away, seeing that water waves traumatize me a lot with those memories. "You never learned how to swim during the high school swimming practices, right?" she continued, moving so close to the water. "Let's see who's more important to Newton—his little baby stepsister or me," she looked back at me, smiling from chin to chin. "Let go of me!" I dragged my legs, fighting so hard as we reached toward the pool strand. She successfully dragged me with her. The pool water was deep as 6ft inches. I tried to swim to the surface water, but I was drowning. I could hear voices from the background which I waved my hands and screamed. "He...lp…" I was shouting, but it seemed like no one heard my voice. The water penetrated into my nostril, earlobe, and mouth. "Daddy! Help me," I screamed as I watched how he stood watching, laughing so hard instead. "Daddy, please!" Tears dropped from my eyes. I couldn't breathe. I knew I'd be gone before anyone would dive in. Those memories hurt me so badly. I opened my eyes to see someone diving into the water. I smiled, even when my eyes were clouded with water, but he moved to the other side. I shut my eyes but could hear voices. "Newton, wait... I am so cold and blood is gushing out of my nostril," the voice said. I realized that it was Kate. She was right after all. Newton would save her first before looking out for me. I didn't struggle anymore, I let the water take me to the pool bottom Then I felt hands on my legs, even though my eyes were blurry as it jerked me off my feet. I felt his muscular body and his scent. Then his mouth was right on mine with a little push on my chest. I really couldn't tell who was the diver that saved me, but I felt revived to life. I opened my eyes to see it was Zed who came to my rescue—even after our argument we had a few minutes ago. I coughed out the water while he continued pressing on my stomach. Everyone watched us. He quickly carried me to the bench, still trying to check my temperature. "Are you okay?" he asked, gently fixed on my mouth to the energy drink the server brought. "Yes…" I said slowly. My eyes were red, but my mind was lost. I thought I would be in a coma for months, just like it happened when I was little. I heard that my Dad was kept behind bars for weeks before his release, and since then, I never saw him again till date. "Miss glasses," he called, yanking me off those weary memories. I looked at him. "Thank you," I replied, shutting my eyes slowly. "It was Hephzibah that pushed me to the pool, Newton," Kate began, shedding tears, but I was not bothered anymore about Newton. "She only wanted to get your attention and called me a fraud," she lied, pointing her fingers in my direction. "Kate, you are a liar. You are the one that pushed me, knowing well that I can't swim," I responded angrily. Newton walked toward me angrily. "Why would she ever do that to you, Heph? I didn’t realize that you could be this cruel to hurt someone like this, can't you see that she's bleeding from her nostril. I believe every word she says now—you were the one who gave her the cut from the glass in high school," his voice echoed. "Seriously? I’m being cruel? But you know me, Newton," I said angrily. "I would never do such or think those things to someone." My eyes were red. "But here we are again, defending someone who almost drowned your sister to death—when you know too well that I have phobia for pool water," I cried bitterly. "Enough! Heph, you broke my trust, and I swear on our names that bind us together, that if you ever go near Kate again…" "Don’t you ever threaten my girlfriend again," Zed interrupted sharply. "You lost those respects I had for you as my senior," he continued, pointing at Newton. "You stood there and watched how it played, and yet you're so blindfolded by a hot body like hers to stand up for your sister," Zed spat angrily. "You don’t deserve to be called a brother," he said angrily to Newton, wrapped a towel on my body, then stood up to defend me. "Next time you try to do that again, I promise you, Newton—you won't survive my heat." I felt down by Newton's words and actions. "You can't do anything, different girl everyweek," Newton chuckled. But he felt a blow on his face. I froze. Newton stumbled backward, blood gushed out from his lip
