The next day was amazing. We spent the whole day with Parker. After talking with him into the night I could barely sleep. Aaron and I watched him for nearly an hour before we went to sleep. Aaron made sure I was on his other side and away from Parker’s neck. Axel made sure to remind him of doing that.
Axel came in the room the next morning and woke us up for breakfast. He wanted to spend time with Parker but it only made him sad.
I knew how he felt, but I couldn’t help it. I wanted to spend every waking moment with him. It might be the only time I got before he rejected us.
