Ethan laughed. “Finn, this is more real than anything I’ve ever got before.” Finn felt pride well up in his chest. For the first time since meeting him, Ethan was not nervously side stepping a conversation, or avoiding eye contact. He hadn’t even been this natural when the two had their impromptu Chinese takeout dinner. Ethan was completely at ease. After pouring their cakes, Julie set them in the oven, and the two elected to help clean up their mess (well, more of Finn’s mess, really) while Julie got the frosting materials ready.
