Tumayo si Gerard at pinalakpakan ang asawang si Shayla, at ang kaibigan nitong si Pinkie. Alam niyang maganda ang boses ng asawa dahil narinig na niya ito kumanta noon sa bahay ni Rori. Ang kinanta pa nga nito noon ay yun 'Falling' na pinaulit ulit pa niyang pakinggan after ng graduation ni Shayla habang pauwi sila ng rest house, but the song she and Pinkie sang now had an impact on him.
While he felt worried about Bianca's bold move which would affect Shayla, he did not expect Shayla would rise to the situation and turn it to her favor.
All he felt was admiration for his wife. It also reminded him of what Shayla said when they were in the US whenn he told Shayla that she was protective of her loved ones.
