“Oh, buddy, you’re so blind.” Bryan laughs, stepping into the kitchen. He heard Eloise’s awkward moment.
Nicholas walks back in from outside and sets the dish on the counter. He looks at her, then Bryan.
Eloise was sure he was wondering why the air in the room was so charged.
“So, what do you say? Friday, six o’clock?” Hugo pushes on, not caring about their audience or that it’s against house rules.
Bryan leans against the fridge and grins back and forth between Eloise and Nicholas, loving every minute of the show.
“What’s going on?” Edson whispers as he joins Bryan.
“Eloise just got asked out on a date.”
Eloise glared at both of them.
“Oh!” Edson’s face suddenly brightens. “Oh. Okay, continue.” He waves his hand like this is a live performance.
