THE MASTER'S OBSESSION THEMES: LOVE, POWER & BALANCE CHAPTER THREE • • "What did you say?!" Dahila yelled. "You scoundrel. People like you are the ones who make life harder for people like us." She folded her fists. "Apologize now." The driver rolled his eyes. "You're expecting me to apologize?" Vincenzo sighed and kept looking at his watch. "Parker? What's going on?" "Liam splashed water on some lady and threw some dollars at her, now she's vexed." Vincenzo stepped out of the car. "Miss, just take the money and leave. We have somewhere important to be." Dahila scoffed and brushed her hair back. "Are you kidding me right now?" She picked up the money which was stained with water already and threw it at him. "Màd people." She huffed before walking away. Liam's eyes widened, he knew he was in trouble at that moment. "Boss, I'm sorry, I should have_." "Shut up and drive." Vincenzo gritted his teeth while watching Dahila walk away. "We'll meet again." • • "We're here sir," Liam announced. They were at Monique's house. Vincenzo wanted to end everything soon so he decided to begin sooner. He stepped out of the car not without people staring at him. Parker followed suit and knocked on the door. Monique stepped out and opened the door. "Vin... Vincenzo Loomis?" She gasped and opened the door wider. "I'm such a huge fan of yours." Vincenzo sighed. "Such a talkative." He thought. "May we come in?" "Oh yes, please." Monique ushered them in while trying to fix her hair. "Please sit." Vincenzo sat while Parker stood. "I came to discuss something important with you miss. I hope you remember me?" "Who wouldn't remember Vincenzo? The hot Casanova." Vincenzo sighed. "You don't remember seeing me at the club?" Monique raised a brow. "No." "Alright. I've come here with a business proposition." "Business pro_." "Would you like me to speak?" Vincenzo sighed. "I need to marry you, you'd give birth to a child for me and then we divorce ASAP." Monique was speechless. "I don't understand you... Marry you? Why would I do that?" "Oh miss, there's something in it for you too. I'd offer you a blank cheque, I hope you know what that means." Monique stood and started to laugh. "I know you're hot and all but are you fréaking kidding me? I'm sorry, I can't marry you. You don't even have full ownership of your father's companies." "Oh, is that why you can't agree to this?" Vincenzo asked, confused. "Yes, what would my friends think of me?" Monique rolled her eyes. "Miss Monique, I'm in dire need of your help. Just marry me, we don't have to be lovers, give birth, and let me take ownership of the child and get whatever you want." Monique sighed. "Would you please leave my house now?" Just then, Dahlia walked in. "What's going on?" She gasped as she saw Vincenzo. "You." She pointed. Vincenzo sighed and stood. "You're the lady from earlier." "Yes, meet my sister. Maybe you should push the offer to her." Dahlia rolled her eyes. "When did you start keeping company with people like them?" "They just came in saying I should marry Vincenzo, give birth, and divorce him in exchange for anything I want." Dahila sat on the couch. "Who's Vincenzo?" Monique pointed to Vincenzo. "Crazy men, would you please leave our apartment? We are not interested in the deal." Dahila said. Vincenzo sighed and gave Dahila his card. "Think about it." Dahila reluctantly accepted it. "Why are you pushing it to me?" "I'm sure you need some money," Vincenzo said and their eyes met, Dahila looked away. "I'd think about it. Now leave." Vincenzo rolled his eyes before leaving the apartment. "Are you crazy?!" Dahila yelled. "Why would you accept such?" "I didn't want to. But the offer's pretty nice. I mean, he's VINCENZO. He could give us a yacht, a mansion, anything!" Monique sighed before dropping on the couch. "Think about it, you don't have to be in love with him." Dahila sighed and was about to walk to her room. "Why are you home early though?" Monique yelled. "I quit the job." She yelled back before entering her room, she shut the door and sat on the floor against her door. She picked up the business card again and muttered. "I just have to marry him..." • • >>>VINCENZO'S MANSION: 9 PM <<< Vincenzo walked into his mansion, the maids collected his work bag and he walked up straight into his suite. He removed his tie and s**t and sat on his bed remembering the cràzy lady from earlier, he didn't even ask for her name. No lady had ever treated him with such despair, he was curious. He sighed and fell back on his bed. "She's pretty though." • • Dahila held her handbag tightly as she faced the huge Vincenzo building. She sighed deeply before walking into the building. She needed confirmation that she was not about to be conned. As she entered, many eyes were on her. ?Wow, is she a model? ? She's too pretty ?Her lips are to die for ?Her shape, OMG!!! ?Should I just get her number? Dahila was used to getting such compliments so she ignored them and moved to the CEO's floor. She got to the reception. "Hi, good day. I'm here to see Mr Vincenzo." "As if Mr Vincenzo is just anyone you can see." The receptionist glared. "Do you have a card with you?" She brought the card he had given her. "Here." The receptionist made a call and Dahila was directed to his office. "Well, look who we have here," Vincenzo smirked. "Did you think about it?" "Yes, I'm here to see if you're truly Vincenzo Loomis, I can't risk being conned. I'm still thinking about it though." Vincenzo rolled his eyes. "You think you can just barge into my office anytime you like?" "Don't we have a score to settle?" Dahila glared. "You should apologize." "For?" Dahila scoffed. "Splashing water on me." Vincenzo slowly walked towards her, eventually caging her between him and the wall. He whispered. "Don't get too friendly with me, alright?"
