“Don’t get too friendly with me, alright?” Vincenzo muttered to her ears, the last thing he wanted was to get close to her.

Dahila gulped hard and pushed him away, she studied his face. He had a beautiful face, his hair was black and shiny, and his eyes were alluring. She coughed.

Vincenzo walked towards his office desk. “Of course, if you sign the contract, there’s a lot in store for you.”

“Like?”

“Simple. Money. Isn’t that what you need miss?”

Dahila rolled her eyes. “Money is not the key to all problems.”

“Isn’t money the key to yours right now? Or you don’t need it?”

“Look, I’ll make Monique come to sign the contract tomorrow. I can’t marry a jerk like you.”

“No, I want you. I don’t want Monique anymore, there’s something different about you.”

“Cut the crap. You just need a lady to give you a child, why be so picky?” Dahila asked looking around his office.

Vincenzo laughed. “I’m Vincenzo Loomis, I can’t just marry anyone. Think about it well, miss.”

Dahila rolled her eyes again. “My name is Dahila!” She yelled before barging out of his office.

She stepped into the elevator and closed her eyes. “I just have to marry him…”

“Boss, do you think this plan is going to work? I’d rather you married a celebrity or someone from a high status.” Parker stated as he watched Vincenzo work on his laptop.

Vincenzo stopped typing. “If I marry some lady from a high status, the news about our divorce wouldn’t end abruptly which would be bad for business. If I divorce someone like Dahila, it wouldn’t be big news.”

“Alright boss.”

“Get the car ready.” He ordered.

“Why would you agree to help her?” Dahila asked Cassie who was busy stuffing her mouth with honey cookies and juice.

“Cause indirectly, it means helping you out too,” Cassie said. “By the way, Tristan is coming to New York soon!” She yelled in joy.

“Hey, shut it. My mom’s resting.” Dahila warned while pouring herself some juice.

“Sorry, I’m too excited. Finally, no long-distance drama in my life anymore.” She chuckled. “Why don’t you try dating someone?”

“Dating? I’m marrying some stranger in a few days to come.” Dahila thought. “I’m just not into dating and stuff for now, you know?” She blurted.

Cassie sighed. “You’ve been saying that for years, let someone love you.”

Dahila stood. “Alright Cassie, I think you’ve had enough cookies, it’s time for you to leave.”

Cassie gasped and stood. “Are you chasing me out right now? Alright alright, I was about to leave anyway.” She said as they approached the doorstep.

Dahila opened the door and met Vincenzo right in front of th

e doorstep, she gasped. “What are you doing here?” She muttered.

Vincenzo smirked and drew her closer. “Hey baby…”
