I left my mate in good hands. I had to run into the city for a meeting at the office there. After the meeting, Lari’s father followed me to my office. He and his wife were informed about the breakup between her and Carl. We let out all the part of him trying to kill her. She didn’t want her family to worry. I agreed with her. Her dad knows she is now with me and safe from the abuse of Carl.
“I am glad she has opened her eyes to how much you care for her. I always wished it was you so would end up with over that jackass of a man.” Her father said as he closed the door to my office once. We were inside.
