My heart hurt the whole walk back from the forest.
I stood there and watched Simon talk to Garrett. I watched the man I love but the worst part, the part that made a hard lump form in my throat was the way he ignored me.
He looked at me for just one second, gave me a sad look, and then turned away like I was a stranger.
He didn't come over to say hi. He didn't ask how I was doing, and he didn't even try to touch me.
He just walked away back into the trees with his guards and left me standing there with a broken heart.
