How it all started

"I can't believe I'm wearing over 200 years old necklace around my neck I feel so honoured" Purina said softly to the camera and shuddered a little from the tiny ripples of shock waves that flowed through her body.

Filming a documentary for her show, she was behind the scenes in the Queenspark meseum touching and coming in contact with original aged artifacts that are worth billion of dollars. Legends has it that the necklace she just wore belonged to a Witch Queen called Oprah in the 18th century and was taken after the church led a march down to the witches and sorcerer's abode, killed thousands including their queen. They took the necklace as a sign that the town of Queensville has been cleansed of all evil spiritual powers. 300 years later, this necklace is in the secured walls of the meseum and is one of their most beloved treasures.

Smiling and looking back at the camera, Purina slowly removed the necklace as the uncomfortable feeling in her body kept increasing per second. "I feel if I keep that precious treasure on for too long I'll be fined for mishandling a billion dollar government property" she said humourously making the tour guides and all the people on set chuckle. Purina has always been a sweetheart. She had a sweet soul that attracts everyone to her, including the mighty Jake Coleman who the whole country thought would be single probably until he passes on from either loneliness or natural causes.

Who doesn't know Purina Clery? In the whole of Cross country republic the first thing that comes to anybody's mind whenever the name "Purina Clery" is mentioned would be "ahh, I just love how she is". She didn't need to pose for the camera, she goes about all her normal day life without caring about the celebrity status she has, it's normal for people to walk by her buying groceries, jogging, eating outdoors, volunteering for community service without body guards and paparazzi all over the place. The day she officially announced she was with Jake the whole internet knew over 3 months before. They both went on dates like normal couples do, went to parks, the cinema etc and got photographed together. Even if nobody would want to interfere with Purina's private life, Forever bachelor Jake was in the picture! Who wouldn't want to be the first to break the ice?! All the blogs and almost all social media handles of everybody had news of Jake. Some were just baseless lies and rumours, some were true but they were all just news anyway.

The behind the scenes of the meseum wrapped up as the technical crew started putting away all their equipments, her makeup artist came over to remove her makeup but she still felt unsettled, she had to ask a question bugging her that she had to have an answer for it.

"Hey Maya, excuse me" she waved at one of the tour guides named Maya who walked and half ran to get to her "is there a problem?"

"No, not all all I just wanted to ask, have you worn that necklace before?" She asked looking at Maya with her round cute eyes and Maya just beamed at her chuckling a bit and said

"You didn't break it, don't worry you won't be sued or anything"

"Oh thank goodness" Rina said touching her chest and smiled but still continued

"Seriously though, have you had it on before?" She asked again

"Uhmm.. no I haven't but...." Maya trailed off as she looked up and tried to stop the tears from pooling in her eyes

"I'm Soo sorry if it wasn't a good experience for you because I also feel something bad would happen to me too" patting her back, Rina told Maya who was suddenly taken aback by what she just said

"What do you mean "something bad will happen to you too" did you feel something off about the necklace?" Turning sharply, it was Maya's turn to look at Rina apologetically and Rina on the other hand was stunned. Their both expressions switched almost immediately it was expressed and it made Rina chuckle

"Okay fine, I felt some sort of shock wave ripple through me" she said and took a bottle of mineral water

"So that's it?" Maya asked doubting what she just heard

"Pretty much yes, I still feel weird though" Rina replied and shrugged a bit

"The last person I know wore that necklace was my sister Martha" Maya said softly, "but she died last year"

"Oh my God I'm so sorry for your loss" giving her a hug, Rina patted her hair like a child

"No doctor in the world could tell us what was wrong with her! She died of an unknown sickness less than a week she fell sick" Maya bursted into hot tears and it attracted the attention of the crew members inside the building

"Shh... Everybody is looking at you now" Rina said trying to console the crying lady in her arms and Maya suddenly laughed between her tears "I can't believe I'm embarrassing myself this much in front of you" wiping her tear stained face Maya said embarrassedly.

"It's nothing, your body needed to vent and I was the perfect shoulder to lean on at the time it needed it, but this shoulder won't always be there so cry on your hubby's shoulders instead" Rina said winking her which attracted laughter from everyone who heard it and some of them started chirping in

"Our Rina is too busy, she wouldn't have minded been your crying pillow" the makeup artist said smiling at the two cute ladies in each other's embrace.

"You should leave her before Jake comes in here" a camera man joked and walked past them

Jinx! Jake came walking into the almost empty meeting room almost immediately and saw the two ladies coiled around each other, one was his fiancee and the other a crying stranger¿

"You might want to look up now" the make-up artist whispered to the ladies and their heads snapped up

While Jake ivinggave a a sort of questioning gaze, Rina gave a bashful smile and said "hey baby" with her arm still around Maya who was too embarrassed to look up properly and was fiddling with her clip-in badge on her shirt.

Raising his eyebrow, Jake saw she was doing it on purpose, trying to flirt with him in a situation where he obviously can't push the embarrassed, tear stained faced lady away from his woman. He just decided within himself to be shameless, walking up to her, he gave her a loud kiss on the lips "hey baby" giving her a smug look he replied and Maya who was the most embarrassed in this whole scenerio playing out around her hurriedly scurried away wishing her own husband was here too. He might not be as shameless as those two but he would lessen this whole jealous feeling she is having right now! Heaving a huge sigh after she got out, she glared at the cameraman who jinxed her. "What?" He asked asked and went back to work.

"You just scared an innocent woman away you know" Rina said hugging him back

"I missed you" he cut her off

"You dropped me off her like 3 hours ago!" She whined

"3 hours is 3 years in my time" he said leading her out of the venue

Laughing at how cute he's acting "You're not a dog, time can't count that fast for you" she replied and took his hand

They got to the car and they both got in.

"How did it go?" He asked finally having the freedom to stare say whatever he wanted

"It was great, I touch alot of ancient artifacts of Cross country, do you know most of those on display are fakes??, More like exactly immitated but still not the original because they're too precious to have any issue?" She told him with her eyes glowing with facination. Jake kept looking at her expressions and not necessarily what she was saying until he saw her pained expression, he snap out of his delerium to listen.

"She said she sister died of an unknown sickness"

"Who's sister died?" He asked

"What?, You've not been listening!" Poking at his chest she whined

"I'm listening now sorry " he held her finger and brought them to his lips to kiss the knuckles

"Maya's sister died, and she wore the necklace some months before she died of an unnamed and incurable disease" she started recounting her experience with the necklace to Jake and he kept growing worried and worried

"Never talk about something bad happening to you okay? ... If anything happens, expect me to be with you let's say after 5 minutes, I'll need to say goodbye to some people" he said and leaned forward to hug her

Sniffling, she said "you're so stupid" and hugged him back with some tears dropping down her eyes.

Brought back to the harsh reality, it's been a year since she filmed that documentary.

The medic and the house keeper came running into the bedroom immediately they heard him scream.

The medic rushed to her side to checke her vitals. "Mr Jake?_" he called but Jake was zoned out completely

"Mr Jake" he called again but carefully this time, he doesn't want to be accidentally injured by someone in an emotional rollercoaster

" We will be back in 10 minutes to take her away" He said to Jake who was still zoned andout and could not even hear a word anybody said around him. The medic led the house keeper out the door to see all the house workers crowded at the door.

Shaking his head, the old housekeeper walked past all of them and they all got understood what just happened. Cries immediately erupted from most of the workers while the rest although red-eyed, walked away to cry silently. This is the most painful thing that has ever happened to anyone they've ever known.

**10minutes later

The door creaked open and the medic came in with a stretcher and the driver.

"Sir we're here to take Miss Purina back to the hospital" the medic said softly to Jake who tucked her into bed and she looked so peaceful like she is in a deep sleep.

"She's not dead" Jake said staring lovingly at her

The two men were taken aback "what?"

"You heard me, now leave my house" Jake thundered loudly and they both shuddered

"But Mr... _"

"No buts, leave because my wife is not dead!" He said softly and glared hard at them

" You're both disturbing her sleep" he said making them both slightly afraid and they both moved out of the room, knowing he's mentally not balanced yet.
