Flynn officially had a boyfriend. Well, not officially officially, since Pennsylvania state law required Tony have full s****l reassignment surgery before getting the gender on his birth certificate and driver’s license changed, but Flynn considered him a boy, and that’s what counted. Tony was upset about not being able to change his documentation, but knew there was little he could do about it for the time being. “I’m getting the top surgery first,” he said. “I may not get the bottom surgery for another year depending on how long it takes me to recover from that, but it’s worth the wait.”
