Chapter 6- Dinner with parents pt. 2

Walking in, Chen wu was going to go greet his parents but they met him half way. "mother, father how are you guys" hugging the both of them so what is it that you want to tell me father.

"Hello son", come let's go have dinner and i'll talk to you after dinner is over in my office.". Your father is right son you must be hungry now too let's go have dinner first I'll go have them bring the food out.

After his mom left to inform the cooks his father and him went to the dinning room. Seeing his mom come back and took a seat next to her husband.

"The food will be out soon".

Seeing their son being distracted his father decided to ask him. "So son how is the company have you checked in the other companies yet.

"I haven't had time for that yet I just had a new secretary working for me today", and with the meeting about that new project. I'll have to do that later or I'll have my PA check on it for me tomorrow.

"Father, Mother remember my childhood friend Chun He".

"Of course we remember him son why do you ask" his mother replied back to him.

He came in today for the meeting, his parents was wondering how you guys are doing that's all. "I'll give them a call later"...now his father replied back to Chen wu.

Seeing the cooks bring in the food they stop their conversation. "Let's eat now son we'll continue the talk later" his mom said to him". Nodding his head they dig in to the food, happy that her son is finally here for being busy all the time nothing can compare to how she is feeling right now.

Finishing dinner they left to his father office to talk. "Come in son" telling his son, your mom and I have something important we want to discuss with you about. Sitting down on the couch, while his parents is on the other side of the couch and a coffee table between both couches.

"So what is it that you both want to tell me I have a project that i need to get it done with". Looking at his parents waiting for them to answer him... "Sigh" well son it's about marriage.

I want you to get married you know your mother and I are getting old and we aren't getting any younger here waiting around for you to have grandkids.

...MARRIAGE!!! "You got to be kidding right" Chen wu telling his parents.

"It's not a joke son" we mean it, we want you to get married and I don't care who you choose if she's poor, wealthy, or an orphan she just have to give birth to a heir a healthy one his dad telling him.

Standing straight up looking at his parents like they are crazy or something. You guys want me to get MARRIED just so I have an heir....!... I simply can't get married this is crazy I am busy with the company and this project that I am working on.

And I have a girlfriend already remember. "Son don't you remember what happened", when she decided to leave you and take the offer of being a model. You guys aren't even together anymore; what's your reason wanting to stay with her.

...I know and I remember clearly, but I still can't move on I loved her.

"Listen to your father then you don't know if she have moved on or gotten married". Please do this for your parents.

...Giving it some thoughts. What my mom say may be true but I loved her. "Seeing his son thinking" what do you think son about marriage. I don't know about marriage father but give me time to think about it.

"Sure I'll give you the time to think about it".

Thank you father! it's getting late I should get going I have to be at the office early tomorrow. " why don't you stay for the night son it's late.

"It's fine mother". Stay son spend the night with your parents for once. "Maybe next time I wil, standing up heading to the door of the office he opened it, behind him is his parents.

Going down the stairs Chen wu head to the front door, he was gonna open it. "Bye son see you soon".

turning around he say goodbye, "see you guys later". Driving home Chen wu called his PA.

"Hello sir is there something you need?".

"I need you to come in my office, early tomorrow I have things I want to talk to you about".

"yes sir", is there anything else you need sir.

"No that's all", hanging up on his PA.

Chen wu parents POV:

"Honey do you think our son will agree to it", asking her husband.

"I don't know for sure but we will give him time to think about it" telling his wife.

"But if he doesn't we have to make him agree" seeing him grumpy and irritated all the time it's making me sad replying back to her husband.

"I know but there's nothing we can do, if he wants time to think then we give him time". If he doesn't agree then we arranged him a marriage with one of my friends daughter.

"Wouldn't that make him angry at us if we just arranged a marriage for him"... telling her husband and even so if we could arrange it he wouldn't agree to it. Remember how broken up he is about that woman leaving him for an opportunity to be a model.

"I remember everything, he just need to man up and move on already"...... it's not like she's the only one out there. We can't have him do whatever he wants now, we are getting old and the companies need the next generation of Wei.
