I sat on the bed carefully because it has been well made and I didn’t want to ruffle the sheets too much. Rivera had left to start a new life without me. It was heartbreaking but since it was my fault, I didn’t know how to feel.
I exhaled loudly and wallowed in my thoughts. I left the room a while later, locking it up and telling Ansel to keep it off limits. Rivera had gone to start a new life and I was forced to face mine now, whether I liked it or not.
