CASPER’S POV I stared at Rue’s little body as her chest rose and fell several times. I was lucky she was still breathing and even if her plans had been dangerous, I could not blame her. It was a part of her to fight. She was raised to defend herself from people who were not her family, non rogues. I tried to convince myself and everyone else in the pack house that she would hardly remember anything about her parents, but a year later and she had already formulated her plan to turn us into her captives and my worst fears about her were in full swing. Yet, I didn’t want her to die. Eric was furious and disappeared after charging at her, while Lucian and I had taken her to the pack clinic. I tried to mind link Eric but I was too furious at him and I could not concentrate. I could only hope
