It was a whole week after, and Celeste was still not willing to hear me out. She had every right to be angry but I expected her to give me a chance and at least listen to the full story. I never wanted to kiss Iris because I knew the effects it would have on my reputation and hers and I only enjoyed her company. Celeste refused to see me and after keeping up appearances outside our rooms, we were always back to not talking to each other.
