CHAPTER 09 : OPERATION FINDING A BOYFRIEND

(I was woken up from a long nap by a notification on my phone. I got up slowly and reached for it while rubbing my eyes.)

(I looked around and noticed that something was different. I realized that I wasn't in my room or my apartment. I checked the time and it was around six.)

(I couldn't remember what had happened last night. When I turned, I saw a guy sleeping next to me and that's when I realized that I had s*x with a stranger.)

(I couldn't see who the person was because he covered his face. I checked my phone to see fifteen missed calls from Jessica and sixteen massages from both Jessica and Ace.)

(I started freaking out and tried to calm myself. As I did some breathing in and out, the guy started to move a bit and I quickly covered myself with a bed sheet.)

(He slowly opened his eyes and looked at me with a smile and that's when I realized that it was Jason. I felt a bit embarrassed and shocked to know that I just had s*x with my friend/crush/ boss.)

Jason : (yawning) "How did you sleep?"

Me : (smiles nervously) "Uh.... I slept great. Quick question, What happened last night?"

Jason : (sits up and stretches his arms) "You don't remember what happened last night?"

Me : "Uhh.... No...... I don't.

Jason :" Last night was the best night ever. I can't really tell you what happened but all I know is that we had a great time together. "

Me : (looks surprised) "Did we really do it?"

Jason : (nods) "Yeah and it was awesome."

Me : (looks down) "Oh."

Jason : (grabbing my chin and making me look at him) "Don't feel bad and also don't worry about..... You know......getting pregnant."

Me : "I'm not worried about that. I'm just worried that I just slept with my boss."

Jason : "Well, don't be."

Me : "Okay. Well I have to go now."

Jason : (looking away) "Okay. See you soon."

Me : (smiles nervously) "Yeah. Sure."

(I grabbed my clothes and went to the bathroom and put them on. I ran out of the room, leaving Jason laying down on the bed.)

(I checked my messages and I saw that Ace and Jess were asking where I was and where I went. They also asked me if I was safe and I just replied with a yes.)

(I ran home without looking back. When I arrived at home, I went straight to the bathroom and took a shower. While I was showering, my phone rang and I got out of the bathroom wrapping myself with a towel.)

(I grabbed my phone from the bed and checked who was calling me. I got a bit surprised and shocked that Ace was calling me.)

(I hesitated for a second and wondered why he was calling me.)

Me : (answers the phone) "Hey........ Ace. What's up?"

Ace : "Where were you? I've been trying to call you and text you but you never answered."

Me : "OH. Uhhh....... Well I just felt tired and came back home. Sorry for not informing you."

Ace : "Okay. Next time, tell me first before leaving, okay?"

Me : "Yeah sure. I will do that."

Ace: "So... How are you feeling now?"

Me : "Just a small headache but it'll go away."

Ace : "Okay. I was just checking. Do you have any plans today?"

Me : "Uhh...... Idk. I'll ask Jessica and get back to you."

Ace : (sighing) "Okay. See ya."

Me : "Okay. Bye. (hangs up)

(I threw the phone on the bed and went back to taking a shower. While I was still showering, my phone rang again. I got annoyed and yet again I got out and went to the bed to grab my phone.)

(I looked at the screen to find out that Jessica was calling me so I just answered it.)

Jessica : (worried voice) "Emily, bestie, where have you been?I've been looking for you everywhere. You got me all worried."

Me : "I'm fine Jess. I just left early at the club."

Jessica : "And you didn't bother telling me?"

Me : "Sorry."

Jessica : "Okay but don't ever do it again, okay?"

Me : "Okay. I won't."

Jessica : "Why did you leave early last night?"

Me : (chuckles nervously) "Uhh..... I just had a headache and I felt dizzy."

Jessica : "Don't lie to me. I know that you didn't have a headache. Where did you sleep? You weren't home last night."

Me : "You came into my apartment?"

Jessica : "Yeah. I just wanted to check up on you. You know what, don't tell me on the phone I'm coming to your place. You are going to tell me everything. (hangs up)

(I waited for her to arrive so that I could question her before she could interrogate me about last night. I barely remembered anything that had happened after I walked with Jason to a VIP room.)

(Twenty minutes later, Jessica arrived and just budged in and walked upto me like she was gonna beat me up.)

(I sat on the couch and she sat down next to me.)

Me : (looks at her) "So...... Jess, what brings you here?" (asks nervously and pretends that I don't know.)

Jessica : (raises an eyebrow while looking at me) "Really Emily? You know why I'm here, so spill the beans. Where? Why? With who? And did you really do anything?"

Me : (sighs and looks down) "Okay. I was at the club, then I bumped into Jason and he asked me to dance with him and I agreed so we danced for a few seconds and.........

Jessica : (interrupts) "Wait hold up. Is Jason the.........."

Me : (nodding) "Yeah. The traffic cop that I told you about. So we danced for a bit and then he pulled me into the VIP room and we...... did something and I did it because I wanted to and he insisted. So that's why."

Jessica : (jaw drops) "No way...."

Me : (looks at her with an innocent face) "What?"

Jessica : "Don't look at me with that look when you know what you did and also isn't he gonna be your boss starting from next week?"

Me : "He is, but I had to do it or else I was gonna wait for him to marry me which will never happen."

Jessica : "That's what your mind and thoughts tell you. Don't listen to them, listen to your heart and also I'm gonna give you one week for you to decide who you choose or else I'm gonna choose for you Emliy."

Me : "I can't choose unless......." (Looks at her with a mischievous smirk)

Jessica : (looks shocked) "Are you really gonna do that?"

Me : "It might be the only way."

Jessica : "What about Ace? I mean he's married."

Me : "Then I'll make a plan."

Jessica : "(sighs) "I've tried my best but you have failed to listen."

Me: "Look Jess. I know it might be really wrong or bad but I think I should try something else."

Jessica : (raises an eyebrow) "Like what?"

Me : "Go on a date with them and maybe that might help me to decide."

Jessica : "It's your life, your decisions, but if anything wrong happens, don't blame me."

Me : "Okay."

Jessica : "I gotta go now. So see you later."

Me : "See ya."

(Jessica got up and left, leaving me sitting on the couch thinking about everything.)

(I got up from the couch and went to my bedroom and laid on my bed just to cool off and clear my mind.)

(While I was sitting, my phone rang and I checked who it was but it was just numbers that I had never seen before so I answered.)

(I was really shocked that it was Daniel. I wondered where he got my number from but I just decided to not ask him.)

Me : "Hey, Daniel."

(There was silence and then he spoke but his voice sounded like he was angry.)

Daniel : (over the phone) "Emily, Is it true?"

Me : "About what?"

Daniel : "Don't play dumb with me. You know what I'm talking about."

Me : "No I don't."

Daniel : "I'm coming over and you are gonna tell me the truth." (hangs up)

(I was really confused by how he sounded. So I put on some pyjamas and went to the kitchen and grabbed some snacks and went to the living room and watched TV.)

(Twenty minutes later, I heard a loud knock on my door and I went to answer it annoyed. When I opened the door, Daniel just walked in and pinned me against the wall and grabbed me by my neck and his face screamed anger.)
