LOVE IN TRAFFIC

CHARPTER 01: THE MEET UP

EMILY'S POV

(I was still stuck in traffic and there were few minutes left for the movie to start. I grabbed my phone and called my friends, and told them that I'll be late again and they can start the movie without me.)

(I tried to keep my cool when a car behind me just kept honking at me.)

(I got really annoyed and stuck out my head and looked back.)

Me : (shouts) "ARE YOU BLIND DUDE!? CAN'T YOU SEE THAT WE CAN'T MOVE!! THERE'S TRAFFIC HERE, GET USED TO IT!!"

The man : (shouts back) "DID YOU JUST CALL ME BLIND!? YOU'RE GONNA PAY FOR THAT!!"

(I quickly stuck my head back in the car and closed the window. I got scared as I hear footsteps approach my car.)

(I was shaking on my seat as I saw a figure stops at the window.)

(He tapped on the window and I slowly opened it. I was a little bit relieved that it wasn't the owner of the car but a handsome, cute, muscular guy wearing a traffic uniform with black shades.)

(I was lost for words for a second but tried to keep calm and control my feelings, until I heard his voice. He had a voice of an angel. It was deep and calm.)

Traffic Cop : "Excuse me ma'am, but you have to lower down your voice, we are trying to do our job here."

Me : (blushes) "Uhh......"

Traffic Cop : (takes off his shades) "Are you okay, ma'am?"

(As I looked at him in the eyes, I noticed that his eyes were different. The left eye was sky blue and the right eye was a rich, bold red.)

(I was really surprised and also charmed as I looked at his unique different eyes and I wasn't aware that I was drooling. He laughed a bit and wiped some of the saliva off my lips.)

(I felt embarrassed and didn't even know what to say.)

Traffic Cop : "Are you okay ma'am?"

Me : "Y-yeah and please, call me Emily, sir."

Traffic cop : (smiles slightly) "Okay, Emily. Mind telling me why you were shouting?"

Me : "Well Officer.........."

Traffic Cop : (interrupts) "please, call me Jason."

Me : "Well I'm trying to be polite and respectful but if you are okay with it, then I'll call you Jason. Well Jason, I was quietly and patiently waiting for the cars in front to move but then the car behind me just started honking at me and I lost my cool and shouted at him and he told me that I'm gonna pay for calling him blind."

Jason : (Chuckles)"Okay, Emily. I'll talk to the owner of the car and try to calm him down and make him understand. I won't disappoint you."

(I looked at Jason while he walked over to the car behind me and talked to the owner of it. After a few minutes, he came back to me and looked at me in a fuuny way.)

Jason : (trying to hold his laughter)"I talked to him and he wanted something in return."

Me : (looks at him worried) "What?"

Jason : "He wants you to apologize for calling him blind."

Me : "Okay, that doesn't look like a problem."

Jason : "Well....."

Me : "Well what?"

Jason : "The apology has to be a kiss."

Me : "With you?"

Jason : (chuckles) "No. With him."

Me : (looks shocked) "What!?"

Jason : (laughs a bit) "Yeah."

Me : "I'll do it later."

Jason : "Okay. I guess I'll see you around."

Me :"Wait."

Jason : "Yeah?"

Me : (asks shyly) "Can I have your number? So that we could chat later?"

Jason : (chuckles) "Okay."

(He took out his phone from his pocket and gave me his number and left. I smiled a bit and looked forward to see that the road was cleared and I could go to the movies.)

(I started to drive as fast as I could so that I could make it before the movie ends but faith had other plans.)

(When I got there, I got out of my car and raced to the cinema. When I arrived, I saw them coming out and that's when I knew that I didn't make it in time.)

(I joined them and asked them where they were going and they said that they were on their way to "Jallo's Pizza" so I told them that we could go with my car. We took my car and drove off to the other side of town to "Jallo's Pizza".)
