LOVE IN TRAFFIC

CHAPTER 07 : A COMPLICATED WEB

(While I was on my way home, I couldn't stop myself thinking about what happened between me and Ace in the elevator. I arrived at my apartment and just went straight to my bedroom.)

(I took a shower and wore my pyjamas and went to bed. I got under my bedsheets and closed my eyes and tried to sleep but whenever I closed my eyes, I see the image of Ace and I kissing.)

(I tried my best and I eventually fell asleep.)

.......FAST FORWARD TO SATURDAY MORNING.......

(It was morning and I woke up feeling tired. I couldn't go back to sleep because I just woke up and I had nothing to do.)

(That's when I realized that I'm supposed to go to the club tonight with Jessica and my other friends to have fun. I took my phone and called Jackson.)

(His phone kept ringing and goes to voicemail and that made me wonder what he might be doing.)

(I tried calling him for the last time and he answered and he sounded like he just woke up.)

Jackson : (with a sleepy voice) "Uh..... Hello?"

Me : "Hey Jack. How are you?"

Jackson : (yawns) "I'm good. What about you?"

Me : "I'm good. You sound really sleepy. Were you still sleeping?"

Jackson : " Yeah. So what do you want?"

Me : "Well, are you free tonight?"

Jackson : "Yeah. (yawns) why?"

Me : "I was wondering if you could join us for a few drinks in this club few block from my apartment?"

Jackson : "Okay. What time should we meet?"

Me : "At eight thirty tonight."

Jackson : "Okay. I'll be there."

Me : "Great. Tell Ace and his wife that they could come if they want to."

Jackson : "Okay. See ya."

Me : "Bye." (hangs up)

(I got out of bed and decided I should clean my apartment and when I'm done, I could go to the bank to get that check deposited into my account.)

(While I was cleaning in my bedroom, an envelope fell out of nowhere and I picked it up. I looked at it and saw that it belonged to Daniel and thought that he must've accidentally dropped it while he was here.)

(I put it in the safe place and continued cleaning in my bedroom. When I was done, I grabbed the envelope and the check and went to my car.)

(I unlocked it, got in, put them in the backseat, started the engine and drove off to the bank because I had to pass there first before going to Daniel's place.)

(I thought that I wouldn't get stuck in traffic this time because it was the weekends and yet again faith had other plans. A few minutes later, I was stuck in traffic, again.)

(I thought that I was cursed to always get stuck in traffic whenever I drive because this always happens to me.)

(I waited yet again for a long time while there was a traffic cop going car to car, checking our driver's licenses and IDs.)

(I took out mine and held them with my left hand. When the traffic cop got to my car, I rolled down the window and handed him my license and ID without looking at him in eye.)

Jason : (smiles) "Here's the girl I've been looking for."

(I recognized the voice and turned to look at him and saw that it was Jason and he wasn't wearing any shades. I looked into his eyes and I kinda blushed a bit.)

Jason : (smirks) "Has anyone told you that you look cute when you blush?"

Me : (looks away smiles) "Uh........"

Jason : "Okay. I just wanna say congrats on getting the job."

Me : (looks at him) "Thanks again. I promise I won't slack off or let you down."

Jason : (smiles at me) "I know you won't. So, do you have any plans tonight? I was wondering if we could go on a date if that's okay with you."

Me : "I'd love to but I already have plans maybe next week?"

Jason : (smiles) "Okay. Well, see ya."

Me : (smiles back) "Bye."

(He handed me my license and ID back and I drove off to the bank. I couldn't forget how unique and out of this world his eyes were.)

(That's when I realized that I'm stuck in a love triangle but the weird part is that I'm in the middle of that triangle. I tried getting Ace off my mind but whenever I thought of him, the only thing that came up on my mind was when we kissed in the elevator.)

(I shook off the feeling and focused on driving. After twenty minutes of driving, I arrived at the bank and went in to deposit the money into my account.)

(thirty minutes later, I was done and I decided go to Daniel's place to give him back his letter. I didn't know where he lived but the envelope had his address.)

(I drove off to his place but this time I arrived earlier than I thought because there wasn't traffic.)

(When I got there, I got out of my car holding the envelope, walked up to the door and rang the door bell.)

(The door slowly opened up and I was really shocked and confused to see Jason.)

Me : "Uh.... Jason? You live here?"

Jason : "Yeah and what are you doing here?"

Me : "I came to give Daniel his envelope that he dropped at my place. Is he home?"

Jason : "No, he isn't but you can come in and wait for him if you want."

Me : "Thanks" (smiles)

(Jason moved aside and made way for me to enter. I went in and went to the living room and sat down on the couch as he closed the door and followed me. He walked to the kitchen.)

Jason : (opens the refrigerator) "Can I get you something to drink?"

Me : "Sure. Lemonade would be nice."

Jason : "Okay."

(He took out a jar full of lemonade and came with it, while holding two glasses. He put them down on the coffee table and poured me some lemonade and handed me the glass and I took it and took a sip.)

( He also poured himself some lemonade and sat next to me. He took the remote and turned on the TV.)

(While we were watching the TV, I noticed that he was moving closer to me until our thighs touched.)

(I looked at him with my face red and he winked at me and I couldn't help it but blush. When I was done drinking the lemonade, I put down the glass on the coffee table and he also put his down.)

(He looked at me while smiling. I couldn't help it but blush.)

(He leaned in closer to my face and tucked a string of my hair behind my ear and leans even closer until our lips were inches apart.)

(He was so close that I could feel his warm breath on my face and his warmth of his body on me. That made me blush even more and my face turned red.)

Jason : (whispers) "You look cute when you blush."

Me : (smiles and blushes even more) "Uh......."

Jason : (gently touches my cheek) "You wouldn't mind if I do this......"

(He leaned close and kissed me and his lips were so soft and sweet. I was surprised at first but I kissed back. He deeped the kiss and that left me breathless.)

(He stopped and pulled away slowly while I was breathing heavily. He looked at me with a smile and I couldn't help it but blush even more.)

Jason : (whispers while breathing heavily) "Did you like it?"

Me : (nods slightly) "Uh-huh."

Jason : (smiles) "Wanna keep going?"

Me : (nods slightly and whispers) "yeah."

(He pulled me close to him and kissed me passionately and I kissed him back. While we were kissing, he slowly pulled up my shirt and I quickly pulled away.)

Me : (looks confused) "Uhh..... Jason? What are you doing?"

Jason : (looks at me) "I thought you wanted to do this."

Me : "I know but I don't think it's okay. I mean what if Daniel walks in while we were doing what we were doing."

Jason : (sighs) "Okay fine. Maybe some other time, right?"

Me : "Yeah. Well, I have to go. Since Daniel isn't gonna come back now, I'll come by later."

Jason : "Okay."

(I got up from the the couch quickly and went to the front door. I opened the door and was about to leave when I bumped into Daniel on my way out.)

(I took the envelope and shoved it into his hands and left without saying anything.)

(I decided I should go to Jessica's place to just cool off and relax and also I wanted someone to talk to. So I got into my car, started the engine and drove to Jessica's place.)
