Back on the Island of Plihr, Musket Walt sat surrounded by his crew, ready for any emergency should Jack fail in his attempt to stop the Commodore of the Navy. He rested his feet on the table.
“What happens if they get killed?” One of his crew asked.
“Then we step in.” Walt shrugged.
The sounds of the cannons went silent for a second and then, the news spread like fire. Pirates who filled the place screamed and rejoiced.
“Hah! Look at that! He did it!” Said Walt.
“Walt . . . we need to move, now.” Said Ruffalo as he got up from his seat and walked towards the exit.
“What about our ship?” Asked one of the crew.
“Forget the damn ship. They can have it.” Walt said as he got up and followed Ruffalo.
The rest of the pirates followed their captain, knowing that they couldn’t stay there much longer as the authorities would soon notice the Commodore's absence and Plihr would be the first place they would look to.
Following the events that took place on the island of Plihr, Musket Walt made an announcement to the world that the pirates of Scurvy Bay were under his protection now. This news shook the world in shock as just in a day the name Jack of Scurvy Bay echoed far across the world. The name struck fear in the hearts of everyone and new pirates aspired to become like him and follow in his footsteps.
Months passed by and there was no sign of the pirates of Scurvy Bay. It was as if they had vanished from the face of the earth. Some believed that they tried to keep away from the whispers of everyone and tried to be forgotten, but the Navy did not forget. If anything it was the opposite, as the bounty on Jack was soon tripled; making him one of the most wanted Pirates for what he did to one of the Navy's biggest ships.
It was a normal day. The sun rose above Scurvy Bay with its rays piercing the horizon and turning darkness into light; announcing the beginning of another day. The people went and minded their own businesses. Teachers went to the school, while others went to the market; continuing their daily routine.
Until the bell rang three times, announcing the beginning of an invasion. Everyone panicked and ran around the city. Some hid in their houses while others closed and shuttered their windows. There were some, however, who just like Jack had a thirst for adventure. They went to the shores to see who was coming.
There they saw the authorities gather their forces, but the soldiers were not equipped enough to deal with what was about to hit them. Flying from the mast of the ship bobbing in the water was none other than the flag of the Pirates of Scurvy Bay.
Jack stood at the prow of his ship. Emma and Danny stood beside him proud and fearless. They knew that with their Captain's power they were unstoppable.
“I hereby claim Scurvy Bay as my own!” He shouted to the waiting crowd.
“Nonsense!” The magistrate cried, “We have our army ready to destroy you once and for all, Jack!”
But Jack only stood there. It was almost like he was daydreaming.
“Put down your weapons, you cannot fight me.” He pointed at the water. There was nothing at first, but then the crowd screamed.
Waves fifty feet high appeared on the surface of the water. The tsunami roared as it approached the town. The townsfolk panicked; a tsunami that size would surely destroy them.
“What is going on?” The magistrate cried, “How are you doing that?”
“It doesn't really matter. Put down your weapons.” Jack ordered.
“Stop! Do you want to be responsible for the deaths of every man, woman, and child in the town of your birth!”
“No, do you?”
Seeing the incredible power that he was up against and facing the possibility of certain death, the magistrate yielded.
“All right, all right! We give ourselves up to you, Jack, but for God's sake make it stop!”
In a blink, the water crashed back down and was still. The crowd watched for a moment, unable to believe what they were seeing as the Pirate ship dropped anchor and their new leader stepped onto their shores.
Jack sat on his throne. He admired the throne room, which was truly grand. But why shouldn't it be? He was the Pirate Ruler of Scurvy Bay. He was a king.
He couldn't believe that he had come so far. Why, he was surely the most powerful man in the world! No one even dared to cross his path and Scurvy Bay flourished under his reign as it consisted of mostly peace. Peace that was forged with fear of ever coming even remotely close to it. No criminal or pirate dared to step foot onto the land while Jack was in power.
His loyal crewmates, Danny and Emma, stood beside him. Emma was now the first mate of his ship and Danny was the leader of Scurvy Bay's Cavalry and Infantry. He'd never forgotten how they'd stood by him when he was nobody and he had rewarded them well.
He suddenly remembered something. He'd been the ruler of Scurvy Bay for two months now and he hadn't heard anything from his brother. Andy had loved to torment him, but he was still his older brother and Jack loved him.
“Emma, I'm stepping out for a bit. You're in charge.” He stood up.
She nodded and he left the grand building that was serving as his temporary castle. Some of the workers of the city showered him with gifts and workers were in the process of building him another castle just to show their appreciation. He was loved by them.
He walked through the familiar side streets until he came to the house that he'd shared with Andy for years. He smiled a little. After all this time, he was home.
He knocked on the door and waited for Andy to open it, but it stayed shut.
That's when he noticed that everything was locked, both doors and all the windows. The glass was dirty and dusty and it looked as if no one had lived there for months.
Where was his brother?
A little frightened now, he strolled around town and began to question people. However, everyone knew who Jack was and were too afraid to approach him.
Finally he found someone who would talk.
“About six months before Jack took over the place, Andy joined the Navy. He quickly rose through their ranks and became a Commodore. His first mission then, was to capture Musket Walt. Some believe he was swallowed by the seas. I suppose he's dead. It's too bad. I heard that Andy joined the Navy, so that he could search for his brother. It’s a shame.” Said the man, who Jack didn't recognize and who didn't seem to know that he was talking to the ruler of Scurvy Bay. The man shook his head and walked away, leaving Jack standing where he was stunned.
For the first time he remembered what Poseidon had said about learning a lesson. He'd given Jack godlike power, but nothing he could do could bring Andy back.
