Part 2

One day the local authorities were raising chaos in Scurvy Bay. They were looking for someone and they weren't wasting any time trying to find him. They knocked on the doors of every house in town without success until they reached the home of Andy and Jack. They knocked on the door so hard that they almost broke through the fragile wood. “Alright, alright! I'm coming, jeez.” Said Andy grumpily. The sound of the knocking had woken him from a deep nap. Andy opened the door and his face filled with shock when he saw the authorities at the door. There was a look of deadly seriousness upon their face. “Have you seen this man?” One of them asked Andy as they held up a poster with a sketch of a handsome young man upon it. “No.” Andy said as he kept a straight face; he didn't move or display any form of emotion. “Are you sure? This person is a traitor and a self-proclaimed pirate. There is a bounty on his head.” “Yes, I'm sure. Now can you get lost, so I can go back to sleep?” The soldiers were annoyed, but they didn't care for Andy, who they mistook for just another drunk. “If you happen to come across him report him immediately. Cooperation with pirates-“ “Yeah, yeah. I know the f*****g rules. Now piss off.” Interrupted Andy. The soldiers rolled their eyes and left. Andy let out a deep sigh and his eyes filled with worry. “Jack. I can't believe it… that i***t! What has he gotten himself into now?” On the wild surface of the pounding sea, Jack embarked on his own personal mission to see the world with Daniel and Emma, who he had convinced to join him on this journey. “We're free!” Yelled Jack. “Shut your mouth! If you screw this up, I'm going to kill you before the authorities get to you first, ya hear me?” Emma said as she quickly slapped him. Emma was a wild-looking young woman with long, thick black hair. Her eyes were deep, emerald green and they were fierce. She was tougher than most men Jack had ever known and, although, she could grate on his nerves he grudgingly admired her. She was a thug, though, and Jack was also a little afraid of her. “You two should get a room.” Said Daniel in an attempt to settle the tension between Jack and Emma. “What the hell is wrong with you, Dany? I'm just saying,” Emma said defensively. “Shut up, Emma. I'm the captain now!” “Oh, really? You're the captain of what… this f*****g loft?” “Settle down you two; someone has to paddle.” Dany said. “Why doesn't that good for nothing do it?” Said Emma. “Emma, for god'ss sake, just do what you're supposed to do for once in your life.” Jack said. “The hell did you say?” She dropped the paddle and stood to face him. “Hey. Hey, chill. Let's just get the treasure and be done with it.” Dany said while inserting himself between Emma and Jack. “I should've had a better recruitment plan.” Jack said to himself. Emma and Dany resumed paddling under Jack's guidance. This was his first voyage upon the open sea and he'd never felt more exhilarated in his life. Back in Scurvy Bay the local magistrate held a conference in the town hall's forum where members from every worthy newspaper were invited to address the latest issues. Suspicious and curious, Andy had snuck in, disguised as a journalist. “Big Chief has been officially captured and executed in his town of birth, which should send a very strong message to our younger citizens.” Said the local magistrate. “Surely you would think that, but is it not true that a young gentleman from this town has taken to the seas?” A quirky journalist asked. “This Jack will be hunted for sure. He will be our top priority.” The local magistrate said with a frown and every muscle in his face tensed up. Andy decided to cut into the discussion. “But what would the authority do with just a reckless young kid?” He asked. He paved the way for a lot of concerns about why a radical action was even being considered. “This pirate was raised by Scurvy Bay. Surely you know the consequences that the world government would impose should it discover that we let this slide just because he is one of our own.” “But, magistrate, isn't it true that there is a high mortality rate for pirates on their first mission?” “True, yet this Jack managed to convince two notorious pirates to join him as well; Emma Black Stone and Daniel Reek. Both of whom are more than capable of bringing catastrophic results when combined with such a youth as Jack.” Andy covered his face with his right palm while thinking of what terrible danger his younger brother had put himself into.
