How do we remove the guards especially the ones at the door. my lady because of your refusal to get married the queen would place more guards around to watch you so you wouldn't escape. that's true so what should we do. I have come up with an idea why don't we drug the guard's meals that day so they would fall asleep. you know I also work in the kitchen so it's easy for me to slip the sleeping potion into their meals,clary suggested. I know an ancient secret tunnel that would lead us to the protective shield. Said Maryse. oh the shield I forgot it holds magical power that prevents people from leaving so how do we get past it.I asked looking at Maryse and Clary but non of them seems to know. I been learning different spells inorder to be able to open the shield should an opportunity come again for me but I don't think they are effective enough and if they don't work it would only alert the Queen of our location.replied Maryse. I think it is worth giving a trail and perhaps the necklace might even be of help in opening it. I said. when do we leave my lady asked Clary. We would leave at midnight tomorrow when there are less guards and the palace is already swamped with visitors and ongoing preparation for the wedding so we wouldn't be noticed. I replied her.but there seems to be a problem here. I said. I would be the only one going to the human realm because only I can grow human legs so you both would just have to do the distracting just in case. I said sadly. I asked her. when the late Queen your mother went to the human realm I wanted to go with her so I could protect and take care of her but I couldn't. it made me desperate and I began searching for spells that would transform my tail to legs but I couldn't find any. but just when I was about giving up hope, I accidentally discovered a secret room in the Queen's chamber. when I went inside I saw lots of spells books even forbidden spells. that's was where I saw the spell to turn my tails into legs in one of the forbidden spells book. I went back to my room and practice the spell until I mastered it but the day I tried to escape the protective shield held me back and I have been unable to use this spell since then.explained Maryse. I was really speechless so my aunt is in possession of some forbidden spell books makes me wonder what she is up to. Maryse from the little knowledge I have gathered about forbidden spells they always come with a cost. so what would be the cost if you use that spell? I asked.
