Chapter Five- Legs

This isn't good,you have been hit by the impala Maryse said. I know I replied calmly while looking at our surrounding. luckily for us it was night already in the Human realm so we wouldn't be discovered.Maryse and Clary assisted me to the shore since I couldn't swim anymore.when we got to the shore I sat down on a flat rock while starring at my tail still gushing out blood and I could feel the pain intensifying."Is there no spell to reverse the effects of the impala" I asked Maryse.I haven't heard of any before my lady replied Maryse.

My lady what are we going to do now,where do we head to from here asked Clary. Looking at my strange surrounding I haven't really thought about that at all I wanted then was to just escape the palace. I knew I would figure out a way to live with the human because I have read a lot of books about them and I also brought some money and valuables with me. I believed that living with humans would be easy so I thought. I think we would figure that out but first let's transform before someone sees us I replied her.

I brought out the necklace from my bag and wore it around my neck.I closed my eyes and wished for my tails to become legs but after sometime I opened my eyes and nothing happened."why isn't it working" I asked Maryse.I don't know my lady, that was the only instruction your mother left me with replied Maryse.Or maybe my lady it isn't working because of the curse of the impala said Clary.

maybe Clary was right but I refuse to believe that all my efforts are just for waste. I decided to try again but this time around I placed my hand on the necklace " I wish to trade my tails for legs" I said. After a while I felt a prick on my finger and I quickly retracted my hand but I noticed a drop of blood on the necklace. What happened next was really amazing as the necklace began glowing and my tails were completely covered with white light.I was amazed by the beautiful scenery when an excruciating pain hit meso hard it was unlike any pain I had ever experienced. I was screaming and trashing myself on the floor because I couldn't endure the pains. Maryse and Clary were both surprised and anxious. they began holding me in place. After a while the pains went away and I couldn't feel my tails anymore. Maryse rushed over and covered me with a coat because I naked. Wow my lady it really worked exclaimed Clary. I looked down at myself but instead of my tail I saw a pair of human legs and I was fascinated. I tried standing up but wobbled and fell down because I wasn't used to it and I tried a couple of time before I was able to stand straight. I was excited and began jumping up. Maryse , Clary it worked, I am now a human I exclaimed with excitement.Not just that my lady look at your hair replied Maryse. I looked at my hair and it has changed from it's original color of golden as a sign of royalty to a fiery red now. I love my new hair but I love my original hair more. wow my lady you look like a different person said Clary. I smiled at her. How about you Maryse hurry up and transform I can't wait to see your transformation I said . Maryse held Clary's hands and slit their both hands with a knife she brought out from her bag and asked Clary to repeat a spell after her. After she casted the spell she voiced out her request and Clary did same. a black smoke covered them both and then when the smoke dispersed I could see them both lying on the ground naked and with their already transformed Human legs but their transforming left me puzzled because they didn't feel pains like I did. I quickly grabbed a coat and handed it over to them as they were also finding it difficult to walk. When they could now walk we packed our bags properly and decided to continue our journey. My lady where should we go now asked Clary. Clary, Maryse please stop addressing me as your lady from henceforth we are a family in this human realm. I told them.Maryse and Clary were both stunned but they nodded their heads in understanding." so my la...ummm" I turned around and looked at Clary embarrassed face and burst out laughing. " Is it really that hard to stop calling me your lady" I asked her. Don't worry with time you would get used to it. In this human world Maryse is gonna be our mother and we are both her children and I am your elder sister,so if you find it difficult to address me by my name then you can call me "sis" I said and winked at them. They were both stunned and were just starring at me. You guys better close your mouth else flies are gonna get into them. I was really enjoying their embarrassed faces." what my lady" Are you serious asked Maryse.Do I look like I am joking I replied her back. Now let's go mom I added back followed by a wink.they were both quietly following behind me I guess they are still processing the information. "wow this looks so beautiful mom, look at the ground it's different" I said.I knew they would find it difficult to stop addressing me with my title so I have to take the first initiative and make them comfortable besides I have always seen and treated Maryse and Clary like a family so it wasn't a big deal.what kind of a road is this asked Clary. The road was strange to us as they were covered with unknown black and white stuff we couldn't recognize unlike the roads in our kingdom. I went to the center of the road and bent down to check it properly when suddenly a bright light was shone at me and I heard the sound of a horn blown at me." watch out my lady" that was the last thing I heard before being knocked down by whatever that thing was and I blacked out.
