Leah’s POV
I decided not to mention about Mel and Cal being Kai’s parents. I thought it was a bit late in the day to be bringing it up and it seemed a little weird to do so just before we met them for dinner.
I had never mentioned Kai by name, I guessed even if they talked about him, it wouldn’t matter, although I doubted, they would bring him up.
We arrived at their house just before 5 and they hadn’t retuned from their day out yet. Luca went upstairs to put his bag in his room, and I made us both a cold drink. I was unusually nervous.
The door opened and they walked in, all smiles and chat carrying shopping bags for what I could only assume was dinner supplies.
‘Leah, you are here already, wonderful’ Sofia smiled warmly ‘Where’s Luca?’
‘Oh just upstairs, he’ll be down in a minut
