Sofia held me as I quietly sobbed in the passenger seat of her car. I tried to steady my breathing.
‘It will be ok’ she quietly soothed ‘It is a gift’
She was right, it was a gift, one I thought I would never have. I just never thought it would be like this. It was just easier to revert back into my shell while I tried to process what was happening.
One thing I knew for sure though, I was going to do everything in my power to keep my baby safe, protected, and healthy.
