27 NEW SCHEME Scotland Yard CRIME DETECTION LONDON, October 25 The Home Office has decided to speed up the detection of crime by the establishment of a national detective force at Scotland Yard, according to the “News Chronicle”. At present Scotland Yard officers are unable to investigate a crime that is committed outside London unless they are specially requested to do so by the local authorities.
