32 WATERLOO BRIDGE TO BE RECONDITIONED (Australian Cable Service.) LONDON, January 24 A letter from the Ministry of Transport was read at the London County Council meeting today, which stated that the Government had reached conclusions to proceed with the reconditioning of Waterloo Bridge at an estimated cost of £685,000. A grant of 60 per cent of the cost would be made by the Ministry. It was suggested that the question of colouring should be referred to the Fine Arts Commission.
