  The early harvest time evening was calm in Haven's flat, the warm tones of the setting sun casting a delicate gleam through the windows. Haven sat on his worn-out calfskin couch, gazing at the tv. The sound was quieted, and the pictures on the screen glinted as he absentmindedly flipped through channels. His mind wasn't on the TV, in spite of the fact that. It was a Sunday night, and he was savouring the peace that came with the conclusion of an active week.   Abruptly, a knock echoed through the living room.
