13 My life became very busy when I started working. With all the books Capt. Greggs bought for me, I certainly had a lot of material to study. Add to this Prof. Derwen's library, which I was also working on — and the project just absorbed me, my life became very regimented, something I was used to, but not at this scale. In the mornings after waking up, I would dress and walk to grandpa's house thinking about the previous day's work and organizing my ideas. I would then have breakfast with grandpa and Billie. I now had most of my meals with them. Not just because it saved me money, but because it saved me the time and energy required to buy and cook food.
