Chapter 28BRYSON He had ridden into school Bennett and that disappointed me greatly. I didn’t think being platonic meant not seeing each other. By the end of week and him avoiding me at all costs I couldn’t stand it. I had to reach out in the only way I knew how. I was hoping we’d ride, today side by side. I taped the note to his locker and went to home room. I smiled and waved him over to the empty seat next to me, but he sat on the opposite side of the room. I frowned and forced myself to pay attention. He had vanished quickly when the bell rang, and I slowly made my way down the hall to my locker surprised to find the note on my locker now.
