The day was bright, the sun spilling golden rays into Anana’s room, bathing her lavender gown in soft light. She sat before her mirror, slowly brushing through her long dark hair. Each stroke was calm and thoughtful, even though her mind was caught in fragments of dreams and lingering sensations she could not quite name. A soft knock drew her from her thoughts. It was not heavy, nor commanding… so it couldn’t be Lucien. Her brows knit slightly as she set the brush aside. When she opened the door, a maid stood there, head bowed, holding a carefully wrapped bundle. A dress, boots and a folded letter atop them. “This is from Alpha Lucien,” the maid said respectfully, extending the package. Anana blinked, surprised. She accepted it with gentle hands, murmuring, “Thank you.” The maid bowed
