To The Garden

640 Words
As I walked walk by a few drawers and doors, I note it on my diary, including the location of it. I make sure that I put in detail everything that I encounter. I decided to use the door at the front instead of the side where I'm at right now just so I can walk pass more doors. When I finally got passed the door at the façade of the mansion, I turned to my left and counted how much steps would it take for me to reach the small gate to the garden. I enjoyed that and I thought it would be fun to put in my diary. The earthy smell of the freshly trimmed grass was all over the place. I think its weird that I love the smell of trimmed grass but I really love the smell of grass, flowers, and books. I gazed at some flowers and some other plants. I felt tired from walking so I decided to rest at the tree to get a full view of the mansion again. As I enjoyed the view, I wonder why that ghost showed itself to me. I'm not even sure of the things that happened but there must be a reason. The hallucinations can't be real right? If so, then it wouldn't be a hallucination anymore. I sighed at the thought. I decided to draw the mansion in my diary. I love drawing and I've always been a lover of art and books. As I am drawing, I saw a familiar figure at the distance. It's Mr. Alfred holding a bucket in his gardening clothes. As he approached me, I noticed that he's boots are covered in mud as id he walked on a pool full of it. "Hi Mr. Alfred!", I said while enthusiastically waving my hand "It's nice to see you too young lass", he replied cheerfully "I haven't seen you in such a long time, I saw the weeds growing by the door. Are you alright?" "Yes dear I'm alright. I'm just not feeling well lately" "Why? you ate something bad?" "Meh", "Then what was it?" "My back hehe", he said while pointing to his hips and making an awkward smile. It worries me not seeing him here. He's my only friend and the only person I can trust around here. I'm not the luckiest when it comes to family ties. Both of my grandparents in mom's side were dead. She said they both died in a freak car accident when I was just a few months old. On my dad's side, they're not the most open and friendly of people so I never really met them. Dad always say that he doesn't want us to get near them, let alone see us in person. "Say Mr. Alfred, if you don't mind my asking.." "What is it dear?" "Is there any horrible things that happened in the house?" "You happen to experience any?" "Yes", I said with a hind of hesitation in my tone "That's not a first, but I can't tell why" "Why not?" "Young lass.. There are things in this world not easy to explain" "I have to know. Please tell me", I insisted He sighed. "I saw Eilif and she's warning me about something" "Eilif?! Eilif you say?" "Yes. She spoke of something about trouble. I just can't quite remember it but—" "You be careful on what you spoke about. This is no fun and games!" "Then tell me. Please help me understand. I don't know where to go and I have no one else to go to" "If I tell you, you promise to not tell anyone?" "Yes, I promise" "Before I begin, we should go somewhere no one can see" We walked towards the inner part of the garden and we soon entered the maze.
